Description: Chefs Fraser Macfarlane and Georgina Mitropoulos opened Quatrefoil Restaurant in May, 2010. Since then, the restaurant has been named among the top 10 best new Canadian restaurants of 2010 by enRoute Magazine, and among the top 10 best new restaurants of 2011 in Toronto by Toronto Life magazine. Quatrefoil Restaurant is also featured as a prime dining destination in the 2011 edition of Where to Eat in Canada. Located in the quaint community of Dundas, Ontario, the restaurant offers contemporary French cuisine in a charming heritage home turned modern eatery. Macfarlane and Mitropoulos, a husband-and-wife team, met in the kitchen of Toronto's Scaramouche Restaurant, before heading to Europe to seek out new food styles and experiences. Together, the pair has cooked in some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, training under notable chefs such as Marco Pierre White, Gordon Ramsay and Gary Hollihead.

Three course prix fixe lunch comprised dinner-size portions. Delightful blend of flavours and textures. Interesting and beautiful presentations. Lovely setting. Attentive and professional service. Delicious!

Went on a nice August evening so we could sit on patio, adjacent to garde, which is quieter and tables are farther apart than inside. It's as pricy as anywhere in Dundas but the excellent service, interesting if smallish menu, and presentation all showed us where much of the price comes from. It's a first course and second course sort of place and the portions are not as large as cheaper places but everything was tasty and complex and well presented. Our firsts were seared tuna and tasty green beans, our second were steak and salmon. It was a major anniversary and they brought out glasses of champagne, a nice touch. Normally I don't like to go anywhere near $200+ for a dinner/drinks (3 glasses of wine, good coffee) experience but we may do this again on our 41st anniversary.

a group outing for dinner and the first time at Quatrefoil. All meals were superbly done. The appetizers were great and dessert was very nice with in season local fruits being used. The portions were perfect as they were large enough to satisfy your appetite but small enough to leave room for dessert. Our server was knowledgeable about every dish and wine we asked a question. Plus he had a great sensor of humour.

Went for Lunch and had the Price Fixed Menu.We were not disappointed.OUr Calamari app was excellent and the mains were just as good.I had the trout and my Wife had the Duck.WE both enjoyed our meals very much.The service and the price were in line with what we would expect.We love this place and will return.

We used to be regular patrons .... it had been over 2 years and decided on our wedding anniversary it was time to return. We had been disappointed but decided it was time for another cgance. The ambiance and service is impeccable... a glass of sparkling wine was on the house - for our anniversary.. the salad was superb ... and then it kind of fell apart ... our res was for 7:30 - our main wasn't served until 9:30 ... we then were told "there were 4 tables ahead of us" ... maybe so but three of those tables arrived after us - from where I sat I could see the whole dining room ... needless to say they waived our wine and served us port on the house - they obviously knew they had erred and yes that was very generous. The food was well oresented and very good however we both found all courses - including the bread - excessively salty - - - and I am a salt lover - for me to find it salty it had to have been over the top. We are fortunate to have such a great restaurant in our town but again it just didn't meet our expectations.... we plan to give it one more shot - maybe just an off night!
