This mom-and-pop facility was everything we wished for. The seascape was breathtaking and we found ourselves unwinding by poolside. When in Greece, everyone should be so lucky to take a couple of days away from civilization.

Room Tip: Select a high room for better ocean views.

Stay at irides is like staying with family . Nothing is too much trouble for them. Its a delightful spot, quiet, clean, with pleasant rooms. Home made jams featurefor breakfast and the weekly bbq would feeed an army.

Exactly what it looks like in all the pictures, these apartments are a little piece of paradise. Nothing too fancy just pure comfort. The location is ideal, a shop round the corner and a short walk to the nearest village. The stretch of beach is beautiful and the sea is lovely and warm. Very nice pool and bar area and our balcony apartment was clean and modern. The whole setting is picturesque and Aegina is a gorgeous un touristy working beautiful island. Most important of all Spyros (the host) is one of the kindest and most welcoming people I've ever met. Anything you want he would sort out, drinks, attractions, taxis, places to eat ect and gave us the most amazing time. Hope to return soon.

Room Tip: Best views on balcony rooms

We visit Greece at least twice a year and since we have found Aegina we go nowhere else. It is a convenient and short trip from the hustle and bustle of Athens, but you could think you were 1000 miles away !! It is not a severn star island, but it is Greece, with wonderful fresh food, crystal clear seas, relaxing beaches and friendly people.

Irides is a fantastic boutique hotel run by a Greek family and Hassan, who cannot do enough to help their guests. The 15 rooms are clean and air-conditioned, the pool and bar area is just perfect and it is situated right on a nice beach. We have just returned from our second stay here this year and cannot wait to return next year. They make you feel like a part of the family and my young (7 year old ) son just loves it there.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 6 nights in August. We were so happy to have picked Irides on the basis of the reviews here - it was a beautiful and peaceful location, right on the beach and made for a totally relaxing stay. The rooms were clean and spacious with a handy little fridge and air con and we had a lovely view over the sea from the 2nd floor. The rooms were cleaned daily and left immaculately. The bar served ice cold beer and delicious snacks overlooking the sea and breakfast was also tasty and plentiful. However, the best thing about the place was the extremely friendly welcome from Spiros, Hassan, Dimitra and her husband. We felt like friends by the end and were extremely well looked after - nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend visiting the temple of Aphaia, Perdika and the 2 nearby tavernas to Irides ( just ask Spiros) as well as the restaurant at Xanthippi in Souvala. Thank you again team Irides - Rodion and I definitely hope to return soon!
