The restaurant is like the town Giuncarico: remote, small, typical Tuscany, but almost no tourists, it kept its Italian living style. Excellent food for really small money, very nice family running the place, not fancy.

We had a family dinner Sapori. Service was nice and not slow (what we have read in the previous reviews, maybe becasue we were first clients on that day). Food was very good. I have to admit that we were actually surprised by the quality of the food. Prices reasonable. Portions relatively big. House wine also good. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for a memorable experience in Tuscany, go dine at this small restaurant in the piazza of the humble town of Giuncarico on an evening when the sky is full of stars. The service may be slow, but the quality of the dishes make it worth the wait. Many of the delights offered by the cook seem to respect the tenents of the Slow Food movement. Apart from the usual specialties of the Maremma region of Tuscany, some remarkable dishes include a pizza covered with thin slices of lard and truffle. Avoid the house wine. Best reserve a table under the canopy in the piazza. It can get crowded with tourists in the summer months.

We found this lovely restaurant by chance as we got lost in Giuncarico and were enchanted by this old medieval town on the top of the hill with narrow cobbled streets and an archway either side of the town. The restaurant served pitch perfect pizza of course but also exceptional seabass and sea bream. Four of us ate a full man course, a sweet and drinks...all for around €60 making it by a distance one of the best value for money experiences we had in our week in Tuscany. The setting with beautiful sweeping views over the landscape towards the ocean and Grasetto is equally superb. Nice pleasant waitresses two of whom speak good English makes it a great shout.....highly recommended.
