This is a typical Costa Brave hotel really good position and close to the beach, we had a sea view room witch was clean and well equipped, the staff were very good too. The check in was handled very well. The breakfast is all you could want and the restaurant food was very good. Would always come back here.

Room Tip: Room 103 has great views

Your told what your allowed to eat and the times they are pre-pared to serve you. Waiting staff in the restaurant very rude. Got told off by a waiter for helping myself to an ashtray. Then got told off by same waiter for sitting with a coffee five feet away from my table by the pool. Your not allowed to use the pool after ten o'clock at night. Not very friendly or accommodating. Our room wasn't replenished with the things you'd expect, small bottles of shampoo or shower gel. No kettles or tea making facilities. On previous stay got shouted at by security guard for being in the pool a few minutes after ten even though we weren't making any noise. Overall felt like a prison camp

Modern, elegant and very tidy hotel. Very nice staff and management attentive to every single detail starting from free water in the fridge to shower sponge and free beach towels. We also got a courtesy bottle of wine from the management the day before we left. Varied and tasty breakfast and good restaurant for lunch and supper (though a bit expensive but in this part of Roses everything's quite expensive as the offer is limited to just a couple of restaurants/bars). Good coffee which is absolutely unusual for Spain and for outside Italy in general.

Areas for improvement:

- The firts room of each floor (201, 301 etc) should be absolutely avoided as it is right on the stairs and in front of the lift which means continuous noise from the very early morning and until very late in the night. In fact sleeping after 7.30 a.m. was absolutely impossible (and that's a great pity as the breakfast is served until 10.45 so you can wake up late being on holidays). Moreover the cleaning ladies start cleaning the rooms quite early and this only increases the overall noise. These rooms shouldn't be given to the guests or an additional door should be installed to better isolate the spleeping area.

- No rules for the swimming pool area: few sunbeds most of which blocked for the whole day by some towel or kid's life buoy with no one on them, the same for the tables and chairs where you would like to take a coffee but you can't as all the tables under the umbrellas are blocked with someone's staff.

- Feeble wifi.

- Very expensive garage (20 eur/day) which is absolutely not justified considering that you can easily find a free parking space after 8-9 p.m in the surrounding streets or, if you arrive earlier, park at 5 eur/day in the municipal "parking" (in fact just a field where you pay from around 9 a.m and until around 6-8 p.m with no receipt) and move your car to a free parking space the following day.

- No parking  space to charge the car, maybe a dedicated parking lot should be reserved for this purpose in the garage.

- The beach is quite chaotic and with very few and expensive services but this doesn't depend on the hotel.

Stayed here for 5 nights in July 17. Stayed in a rear building family room for 2 adults and our daughter. Good size for the 3 of us as it never felt like we were on top of each other. Also, it didn't feel like we were missing the ocean view as we had that from pool and restaurant. Free bottled water provided in room which was also a good touch. Breakfast was very good and the late ending of breakfast is perfect for those wanting to sleep in. Pool was small but it was never crowded so adequate size I guess.... and with beach just other side of street (or via hotel under pass) we spent most of our time on the beach, choosing to return to pool at 5ish for a couple of hours. Bar service at pool was great. Drove down but decided to use road rather than pay hotel parking. No issues finding space to park on road behind hotel... which was perfect as it meant car was always in shade. The entire area was really family friendly with lots of kids of all ages everywhere. The hotel loses a star for excruciatingly slow internet ( I had to do a bit of work, and found it infuriating) and also some odd behaviour at check in by front of office staff; arrived after check in time to be told my room was not ready. No worries I said, to which another member of staff blamed me for room not being ready. This because there were 3 of us (2+1), and I had apparently booked for 3 adults.... so I took out my confirmation which showed 2 adults and 1 child, and said staff member just walked off in a huff. To make matters worse, it turned out my room was ready after all.... so waste of a conversation and left me with a sour taste.

Excellent hotel in a great location,
right on a lovely beach. Great staff who were always very professiinal and friendly. Highly recommended, especially sea view rooms.
Food in the hotel was very nice but we found a really great restaurant (Balco de mar) just around the corner at the hotel bella vista. This place is well worth a visit as the food,
service and the view is fantastic.
