Delphines is all you could ever ask for in a surf hotel. Perfect location, safe, comfy rooms, nice people. If you are debating between Delphines or the Chicama Surf Hotel & Spa, I would highly recommend staying here. The price ($50 a night) gets you a private balcony and a great breakfast. The wi-fi is enough to check email and reliable.

Paddle (or walk) the point! Do not take a boat and ruin the integrity of this amazing wave. If you need satellite tv, a spa, a boat to the lineup, and constant pampering (Chicama Surf Hotel) then you should book a trip to Tavarua. This is South America!

Delphines is what visiting another country is all about. Stay here and spend your money in town with the locals. Stay at Delphines and support the local community. Be a traveler not a tourist :).

Room tip: Higher floors are the best.

Nice staff, spacious room, amazing view from balcon (2nd floor). Lack of fans or AC, but when keeping the room door opened the cross wind keeps the air fresh. Good service for surfers - boats and informations.

Room tip: 2nd floor.

This place was great, Tania at the front desk, always with a smile and very helpfull. We ask the breakfast staff in spanish for some little extras an never got a no from them. These gringos that are complaining about not being able to communicate with the staff leaves me embarrassed to be from the states.
Que lugar mas cerca de la ola de Chicama. Pura vida y buenas vibras...ya bra

This hotel is one of the closest places you can stay to Chicama point for relatively inexpensive compared to the other options available so close. The rooms were basic, but nice. It's well equipped for surfers and the pool is pretty cool with a swim up bar to get a beer after a long day in the water. The food here is also good.

Rooms are great, all have excellent views of the surf from the Point through Section El Hombre. Super Clean rooms and the Restaurant food easy great and priced perfectly. TV's in all the rooms and also the Restaurant and Lobby have DirecTV. WiFi is average due the fact that there is no fast connection in all of the town. If you have Claro 3G Mobile use that to tether for much faster web access. Plenty of rental boards and wetties too. Delfines has Boat Tow Back to Point too!!!!!

Room tip: Ask for second floor!!
