Very nice outdoor area, we went cross country skiing there, and the tracks were in good condition, and marked very well. Not too many people around, so good skiing in nice surroundings.

Excellent choice for a summer day (June). The view from the tower is splendid. Easy to reach by car, very good parking. Very nice hiking options.

We have been to Hämeenlinna many times and mostly our visit was limited to Häme castle and centre. But our friends (who had moved here) took us around this area and that is when we realized that there is more in Hämeenlinna than just the castle. We were so surprised that we planned our next visit and stayed in a hotel just to explore the city and surrounding region.

This regions has something to offer to people of all ages and preference. The options include golf course, nature trail, forests, lake, parks, adventure, observation tower, boat riding and so on. The area can be easily explored by car or bicycle.
