Just look at the photos! It's the perfect place to catch up on life with dear friends and family. The owners, the hosts and staff were so committed to making us happy and relaxed. Absolutely worth the trip from Europe. Thanks for the wonderful stay!!

My wife and I stayed the weekend to celebrate a friend's special birthday - just Wow! We are privileged in that we get first class airline travel, eat at Michelin 3-star restaurants and stay in 5-star hotels around the world, so are not easily impressed. But this was pretty special - your own private paradise with outstanding dining and lodging. Perfectly set up for small groups and families that want to share meals and communal activities but also be able to shut themselves away. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were more than happy to accommodate our every request, which included taking and making deliveries for us before and after our stay.

Loved this place. There for a friend's 50th - so total Island takeover. Getting there is a lot of fun - via boat on the Noosa River. On arrival, you could be anywhere - well almost. There wouldn't be too many places where the staff are so friendly, helpful, the rooms exquisite, the food so good...we simply loved it. Great night on the barge having sundowners, watching the sunset, open fire...etc...recommend Makepeace Island to anyone who wants to celebrate in style, comfort and freedom. Far from he madding crowd, but on the doorstep of civilisation...

Our family and a group of friends had a great time at Makepeace. Aside from being a magical place, all the details has been thought of and the kitchen crew were top notch - made you feel at home (not that anyone at home pampers us quite like that. We have a few food allergies but they accommodated all of them and we still had great food without compromise.

The rooms are huge and very well appointed... amazing bathtub in the Bure and the daybeds are comfy... you can lounge about anywhere.

What was even better is that they even kept the difficult to please teenagers happy!

The island feels very isolated but you are only minutes from Hasting St in the centre of Noosa.

Not sure when we will get back to Noosa but Makepeace is on the list.

Plus we need to come back when the Koala sanctuary opens later this year!

Room tip: The Bures on the shore make you feel like you are on your own in the bush.

I went as part of the Noosa Food and Wine festival and was thinking of Makepeace as a future venue for a celebration. The resort itself is beautful, however, if you've travelled to resorts in Thailand and Bali they are equally as good if not superior. The novelty of the place is it's isolation and i'm sure that would be the attraction, particularly for celebrities.
