Description: The only 2 hat restaurant in Noosa, Wasabi restaurant & bar overhangs the scenic Noosa River, opposite the Noosa Recreation Reserve. The entirely waterfront dining space has spectacular river views with amazing sunset vistas by day and a warm, contemporary, intimate dining space by night. Voted Queensland's #1 regional restaurant for the Good Food Guide, awarded two chefs hats, listed in Gourmet Travellers top 100 restaurants, and voted the Hottest Regional Restaurant in the Australians Hot 50 List, Wasabi's food has a contemporary sensibility that is still deep rooted in Japanese purity.

We had a lunch on Friday, 3 of us + a baby. We had 3x3course @$80 and shared all our food like that we had a taste of everything on the menu. Sashimi and sushi was incredible and extremely fresh. Gyoza and tempura zucchini was amazing. Mains were full of flavours and the meat (wagyu and venison) was just melting in our mouth. The drink's list was good. Wine list was short but really well balanced. We had a delicious Japanese white wine and a beautiful half bottle of Pinot Noir which complimented perfectly our meal.
Waiters were attentive and really knowledgable.
And the view... Just wow...
Definitely the best Asian restaurant we ever had

The staff were very good, the wine was good, but the set 9 course meal that I had was lacking in flavour, with small dishes you expect each small plate to be packed with some "wow" factor. Sadly only one out of the nine was any good. Would not recommend.

This is an amazing dining experience.

In summary, a great venue 5 minutes from Noosa on Queensland's Sunshine Coast which provides a dining experience of fresh farm produce fused with amazing Modern Japanese dishes and an excellent wine list - all provided with attentive service.

The menu has a strong bias towards local seafood and farm produce but offers a wide range of Option (degustation or a la carte).

We enjoyed dishes including Coffin Bay oysters, kingfish, scallops and an amazing tuna tartare followed by duck egg noodles and lamb belly. All very different and full of delicious surprises.

(Save some room for the dessert)

We were celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary and were spoilt with great seating - a window seat over the Noosa River which was illuminated and full of fish.

A great evening - never to be forgotten

Next to Ricky's with the same fabulous river view and great Japanese food in a fantastic restaurant, service was a bit stiff but still very good.

It is such a joy to be served food which combines flavours and textures in a way which we don't attempt at home. The menu is packed with wonderful surprises. Particular favourites are the shiromi ponzu (thinly sliced sashimi with a delicious topping of toasted sesame, ginger chips and ponzu) and the Aburi Wagyu (tender Wagyu beef with tempura onion and miso dressing). A vegetarian friend was thrilled with the imaginative seven course Omakase menu, which he described as the best restaurant meal he'd ever tasted. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive.
