A real hidden treasure. Just off GOR. Comfortable bed in quite neighborhood. Serenity by the fire stove or TV while on the Grand Pubs couch. All at a fair price. I almost forgot the fresh cooked breakfast. Try Max's specials eggs.

What makes this place so welcoming is a direct reflection of the heart & soul of the person that resides there. The owner Maxine is a richly "Real" person with a generous heart and an infectious smile. She is the kind of character you would find in a favourite book. The kind of book that paints a picture of a place you want to go to. Her bed and breakfast is a welcome haven to the weary traveler. Maxine has a great eye for decorating. She has filled the rooms with story-filled wares from her travels. She is fun and very helpful. Her breakfast was incredible! My partner had a fruit platter with a scoop of ice cream! She found out it was his Achilles heel and presented it with a cheeky smile. I had eggs with the works. It all made us so happy. If you are looking for a memorable experience go to Sounds of the Sea. It will be a stand-out in your travels.

A strong lady once built an eclectic dream,
She opens her arm and welcomes whoever to come.
A beautiful land in the sound of the sea,
One finds it will finally be at peace.

Thank you Max for the wonderful memory.

Thank you Maxine for looking after us for the 2 nights we stayed with you in your B&B! We had a very comfy bed, beautiful linen, fabulous breakfast with local produce and warm fire in the cool evenings. You gave us great local advice and kindly dropped us to a spot where we could walk part of the Great Ocean Road. We loved your welcoming home and personal touch. It really made our weekend!

Room tip: It is very homey, with lots of collectibles from Maxine's travels around the world. It is exotic and quirky yet very welcoming. I personally loved the grape vine covered pergolas and wilderness garden.

What a fantastic BnB, Max's hospitality was wonderful, she has an eccentric little place, filled with character and just a stones throw from town. Our room was spotlessly clean, our bed comfortable and breakfast was incredible - scrambled eggs and chives from her own chooks!
Would highly recommend it for a great B n B experience, just call to book as she's not very computer savvy!
