We phoned ahead to order our dinner. It was ready when they advised it would be and it was cooked perfectly. Will go back!

Had lunch today we both had beer battered Barra hand cut chips & salad, batter was perfect Barra was very nice chips were great . My only grumble is the price was a little expensive , staff were lovely thank you for a lovely lunch nice outlook over the water as well
Twelve of us sat down to a beautifully prepared table & thoroughly enjoyed the canapes(delightfully presented scallops,,sweet pork etc),entree (Bangalow pork belly....yum !) the main course(a superb lamb shoulder) & the dessert(Chocolate Brownies,Macadamia crumbs,Rasberry puree & Coconut sorbet)The wine list is ok...but the food !! so good.!!..The chef,Dave,is there Thursday to Sunday (I think)& the service was very ,very good...It is definitely worth a visit although what we had maybe not on the standard menu...the cooking, presentation etc was of a very high quality...Oh & they do a beaut breakfast too...
We were in Caloundra for a family day and were meeting up with some friends. We went looking for some fish and chips and ended up at the strip beneath the Rumba resort. We tried the Sandbar takeaway and had a fantastic meal. We had a piece of fish grilled and a serve of calamari. Both were beautifully cooked and generous serves. We also had a garden salad that was a nice addition to the meal.
Had ice cream here with the kids - best kiddie cone prices ever, only $2.50! Great compared to other places.
Later had take away fish and chips. Saturday night so the place was busy, service was friendly and helpful but two items were forgotten and we had to go back and collect them which was a little bit painful.
Fish and chips were great quality, prices average tending towards maybe the higher end of takeaway, but it is beach front and convenient so that's to be expected.
We'd go here again.
