We just went for a 3 nught stay mid week, i asked for the highest 2 bed unit possoble and got the 9th floor, they definitely deliver! Not only that but we were pleasantly surprised to be in the exact same unit from our first visit =D its definitely worth asking for a higher room or spa unit, may not get it in high season but its worth a try! Every time we go the unit is always very tidy. The bed is so comfortabl, i wanted to take it home with us! I just love how close it is for walking distance to everything, including beach, restaurants and shops! I cant wait to go again and hope we are lucky enough to get the same room again!

I love this place. Close to shops, restaurants, beach, movies, Sunday markets. Will be back real soon. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very clean. Views are fantastic. Watching all the big boats going by so close

Reading other reviews about the fantastic views etc., last time we stayed here I would absolutely agree but this time we were disappointed. I had booked a full water view room which we had last time. However we found ourselves with a partial view with buildings spoiling half of our view and the whole place was booked out so we could not be moved. Having said that the kitchen was well equipped and the apartment was spotlessly clean.
The lass on the check in counter, Angela was brilliant, the kind of employee who will go that extra mile to help guests in anyway. I cannot praise her highly enough.
Mantra is well placed for restaurants etc. all in walking distance, has private car parking and very central for driving to other tourist spots for day visits.
Just make very sure when you book that you really are getting what you booked.

Room tip: Obviously the higher the better and confirm you really do get the view that you booked.

We've been staying at Monaco since it opened and went back for a few weeks recently. We checked in quickly and efficiently. We stayed in two apartments as when we arrived it was the January long weekend and the place was full. We moved to a higher apartment with little fuss after the first night. The first apartment had been updated and the interior furnishings were almost new. The second apartment had some of the original furniture and the wear is beginning to show, with the lounge being quite worn and needing recovering, the fridge had a leak in the ice maker in the freezer compartment and the washer and dryer showing signs of wear.

In the big scheme this did not affect our holiday and when we mentioned the issues, the staff were responsive and attentive. In fact we had a couple of basic issues, flat battery in a remote and a blown bulb, staff were in our room fixing these simple things within 10 minutes of our call to reception.

The lifts in this building work and even when it's busy, you never have to wait long, a problem with some other high rise buildings we have stayed in. The views are magnificent and there's always something to look at from your balcony. There's a bunch of shops and restaurants nearby, within walking distance and a quaint local market in the main street just around the corner on Sundays, a great place to buy fresh fruit and other produce.

The local beach, Bulcock Beach is great for a lazy float in the calm water and there's usually a surf available around the corner at Kings Beach, though this year, the surf was non existant...oh well, next year!

We'll be back. Keep up the good work.

A wonderful and new apartment with lovely views of the beach, Our son loved the pool and games room. Very clean and new looking. And in a great family location at Caloundra. The apartment had a lovely spa bath, and was very spacious. Great outdoor lounge area on a balcony, i would ask for an ocean view room as they are spectacular! Overall a really great stay for families or couples.
