It was a simple room, has a microwave and parking at your door. Check in was a bit of a laid back 'here's your key, there's your room' kind of thing. There was no 'is this your first time in Queenstown, here is a map, places to eat, things to see etc'.

I always hate white towels, so having stone coloured towels was a nice thing.

Check out was fine, reception was a bit more chatty than when i checked in.

Thanks for reviewing your stay. We take great pride to ensure visitors to Tasmania's West Coast are provided with relevant information so that they get best value out of their travel to this region.

EVERYONE is offered a map of the region and we mark on it the places to eat, grocery stores, petrol stations, Wilderness Railway and other points of interest including things to do and see when heading off to Hobart, Strahan or Cradle Mountain. Our service extends to making train, cruise boat and onward hotel bookings.

The only time when a map or verbal information isn't provided is when guests display and indicate through attitude they have no interest in spending any time in reception and receiving such valuable information we provide.

I've got positive views about Comfort Inn. It was a hassle free check in and I left the key in the slot at check out, staying for a night with my wife. Met up with the owner Bernie, and he took the trouble to call up restaurants to see if the right chef was present for a good meal, and basically let us to pretty quickly. No nonsense, fast, and efficient ...... I like that. The room was clean, large, a clean bathroom (most imp for me), and comfortable. it was relatively inexpensive and close to most activities in Queenstown. I would recommend this Motel to anyone.

Room Tip: Helps if you have rooms away from the road but it wasn't an issue to us since there are hardly any cars in Queenstown

This place is a real find because it is not just a standard roadside motel. The rooms are larger than usual with a dining table and kitchenette, large bathroom and stunning beds/mattresses. Lots of little touches like shaving cream, moisturiser, tissues, biscuits etc make it even more special and its all beautifully clean. It's also set bacm from the highway with an admin building blocking the road so road noise is not an issue. Sadly, neighbour noise is. The owner thoughtfully didn't book anyone into the room next to ours (as we had an adjoining door), but there was a family on the other side of the wall and their uncontrolled screaming children were clearly heard through the wall. We knocked on their door and politely asked if they could keep it down which they did for a while, but we still heard them occasionally. A real shame. Perhaps a sign in each room reminding people to be considerate of neighbours and keep their noise down would reduce this, as we know some guests are more considerate than others. It didn't overly detract from the great stay we had though, and we'd highly recommend this motel.

Thank for the detailed review. Pleased that we could enhance your visit to Tasmania's West Coast a region of great contrasts. We also glad that you took personal action in regard to other guest noise and your idea is a good one for us to consider. Thanks

I stayed here for two nights. Friendly welcome from the man on reception, with advice about things to do and see in the local area. The bed was comfortable, and the shower over the bath was good. Also in my room - a small sofa, TV, table & chairs, good electric heater, a kitchenette with microwave, kettle, toaster, plates & cutlery, tea & coffee, and an occasionally noisy fridge. Free parking outside.

One night stay in this lovely motel in a quiet location with ground floor access and parking at your door.
Room was clean and airy with high ceilings, a well equipped kitchenette and quality furnishings.
Really comfy bed and pillows, very cosy and quiet.
Owner was very friendly, offering good advice about local shops and dining options. Continental breakfast was a bonus, fresh and delicious.
Recommend as a great location, away from the locals doing “blockies” round the main streets on a Friday night

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us and we are pleased that we exceed expectations. We agree the one kilometre distance to the town centre is sufficiently away from township and pub noise and leaves our guests the opportunity to rest and relax in a quiet location
