We stayed here 18 months ago for a night. Wanted to see more of Port Pirie so booked again. Great sized sites, really clean amenities and friendly staff. A park worth staying in. We would stay once more.
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
We arrived at the CV park at 7:16pm after driving 6 and a half hours to get here, desperate for somewhere to stay. We saw a sign saying office closed at 7, being desperate we thought we would try our luck anyway. There was a woman in the office, which we were thrilled to see. We told said woman that we were sorry we were late, and asked if we could PLEASE camp there for the night, but she said straight to our faces “office is closed” and turned us away, despite that she was still there to say it to us face to face. We would have been happy to pay extra, and fix up the next day so she didn’t have to open the till up again. We couldn’t believe it.
Very glad in the end that we didn’t have to support this caravan park, and had a much nicer experience with the other parks just out of town.
We traveled up here from Victoria for 2 weeks of work. We had a look at the website before we left and the camping area looked green and tidy
When we were given our camp site it was just a dust bowl up against the back fence with the bins with no shade. Checked out the next morning
Have stayed here 3 times now and enjoyed all of them. One was over a weekend when we were going to be without the car and although the park was full the owners were helpful in as much as they were able to find us an emergency site. Caravan park is within walking distance to beach front and shops. Owners are really helpful and very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend this park and would always stay here when heading up north.
Checked other Caravan Parks in the area.So glad we picked this one, we have a Site backing onto the water. Sites are very specious.Lovely walks along the beach and into town. Not a large town but has everything. Amenities are quite new with lots of showers and toilets and very clean.
We stayed here for 3 Nights. So glad we did. Perfect spot for relaxing after a tour of the Outback. The Town of Port Pirie is picking up, with the re-development of the smelter. Don't forget to visit the Tourist Bureau for the whole story of Port Pirie.
A wonderful 3 night, relaxing spot. Try the local fish catches as well.
The Caravan Park is beautiful. Cabins are perfect, with all self-contained facilities.
Friendly town, who cater for the Tourist.
