The pies here are superb as is the bread and cake. We then popped in one Friday morning to have breakfast but it was fully booked. So busy place for a quiet village. Nil else to eat at that time in the village.

Wow! Afternoon tea! Take my advice and have a light breakfast and skip your lunch.. You are offered a choice of sandwich fillings for 1 sandwich served in local artisan bakery brown or white bread. Generous sized loaf makes for a decent portion. Next is a choice from a selection of meat or vegetarian quiches or pies served warm in lovely short pastry, hearty. A huge fruit scone with real whipped cream and jam, so light and freshly baked, or a huge cheese scone with butter. Lastly a huge slice of freshly baked delicious cake from a selection on the menu, or from the cake counter. I had drivers G&T and an endless cup of cafe latte. My companions had pots of tea, which was willingly supplied with top ups of hot water. A lovely birthday treat on a chilly, sleety bank holiday afternoon. Thank you

Went in this afternoon. (Easter Sunday) after a walk.
Very pleasant welcome and given a table in the walk/drop in area.
Most people book aparently but there are 3 drop in tables and room outside.
Had the soup n sarni combo and a bottomless pot of tea.
Delicious massive sarni. Ham cheese n pickle with nice warm soup.
Will be back. Get yourselves in you won't be dissapointed.
