We stayed here for a Birthday and rented 2 pods. It was raining but it did not matter one bit. The pods are just so cozy and comfortable and sound proof. We were really impressed with the whole set up. We were a party of 4 so 2 to each pod. We were able to walk to Rosie's Bar where we had a drink and then we got a taxi to Dunfanaghy about 10 euro or so. We had food in Lizzie's Diner (where you can bring your own bottle) and then got a taxi back without any bother we headed back to the pod. All in All it was such a great night and so different. We hope to go back again with the kids and I know they will love it.

Just spent a weekend here at the end of the Easter break. Thankfully it was lovely and sunny so we got to really explore the area and enjoy the campsite. The site has just opened up to the public so everything is shiny and brand new. For big and small kids there's a park, footie pitch which can be booked, games room with wifi, TV and Wii and lots of green space to run about in. If roughing it isn't your thing you can book a little wooden heated pod that sleeps four or one that sleeps two for €50 per night. There's plenty of pitches for campervans too but I'd say it would be advisable to book ahead in the summer months. Nearby there's the beautiful Marble Hill Beach, Ards Forest Park and Dunfanaghy. We had great fun with friends and kids and will definitely be back.
Some tips:
Tip 1. there's a small kitchen but consider checking out some nearby cafe's and restaurants, we went to the Ards Friary cafe and had a lovely lunch with amazing views.
Tip 2. Bring a bbq, it's not kitted out with any yet. (wouldn't use a disposable near accommodation though as they are very dangerous).
Tip 3. A wind break will extend your ability to sit outside later with a cold beer!
Tip 4. Make the kids sleep on the sofabed, the bunkbeds are adult size ;)
