Small cheap rooms where you can't even sit and watch the TV (the sofa faces the wrong way and there were only seats for 3 people in a room that supposedly slept 6). The lino floor was sticky throughout with piles of dirt under the bench where the cleaner had not bothered to pull the stools out. There was food and grime on the surfaces in the kitchenette - it felt like a shared kitchen in a backpackers. Beds are hard. You can't step out of the shower without wiping yourself on the shower door (the shower/laundry combo is in an elongated room so shower door does not open fully). There is no fly screen door on the balcony which looked out on the neighbour's side wall, fence, and bins - not somewhere you would want to spend any time. They will tell you you can walk to the beach in about 5 minutes - they won't tell you you have to cross a busy road and a creek and then get through the bush. Disappointed does not even come close to our awful experience.

Room Tip: Pick any other resort in Coolum.

G’day Family-hols-rock, thank you for taking the time to write a review for resort. It is always disappointing to read or hear when guests do not enjoy their stay with us. Your stay did coincide with the end of the QLD school holidays and it was a very busy time.

We informed you at the time of booking that it would be a tight fit with six people in the apartment as they are small apartments and that a rollaway would need to be brought in for the sixth person as the apartment usually only sleeps five in the two queen beds and single bed. The apartments are an affordable option and are a great base to use if you are going to be out exploring the Sunshine Coast during the day.

Our head housekeeper and her team were genuinely upset to read your comments regarding the room cleanliness as they take a great deal of pride in their apartments. Shortly after checking in, you had let us know that the floors were sticky (in the humidity, they had dried sticky after the cleaner had mopped them.) We personally came over and re-mopped within ten minutes of you having had advised us. At no stage did you say to us there were any other cleaning concerns, which we would have also addressed at the time.

You did come to see us early the following morning to say that you needed to check out as one of your children was sick and that you had to return to NSW to see the doctor. This does happen from time to time and the normal procedure is that a refund is given once the apartment has been re-let. After discussions with you – and due to the circumstances that you had a sick child - we agreed to charge you just the one-night rate (and refunded the trundle charge for you too.)

On a positive note it is good to read on Tripadvisor that you enjoyed your stay at Coolum at the Beach after you departed our resort.

Cheers
Robbie and Kim-Leigh

Host is great. Rooms are very clean. Some pretty good waves straight out front of Resort when the wind is light.
Pool area is excellent and spa is a good temperature, all clean and tidy. Good family atmosphere.

G'day fionaandjames2016 thank you for taking the time to write a review for Seacove Resort.

The pool area is fantastic and we get the question a fair bit concerning the sleepers surrounding the pool, being either timber or concrete.

It is great to read that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to being able to look after you both, when you are looking for your next escape from work.

Cheers

We stayed here while real estate hunting in Qld. What a wonderful little find! Robbie took great care of us and our room was lovely and well appointed. The rooms were basic, but the price was great. Everything was very clean and the staff were really helpful. Just a 5 minute walk to gorgeous Coolum beach!

Located an easy walk into township which had a huge array of eating options and shops- but far enough away from hustle and bustle at busy time of year. Very quiet rooms , accommodating and helpful hosts - perfect for families and couples.

Room Tip: We loved our room with balcony and view over pool

We had a lovely five night stay at Seacove Resort, Coolum over Christmas.
It is at the northern end of Coolum, so a lot quieter than staying closer to town. The beach is definitely a walkable distance. The flagged area at the beach is a bit further but great exercise. It's an easy walk to the main part of town if you enjoy walking otherwise a very short drive. The pool area is excellent for the children and most bbq areas overlook the pool. There are plenty of pool noodles too.
We stayed in a three bedroom, which is two bedroom upstairs and the studio room downstairs for the grandparents. The bedrooms are a great size. We also had bub in a portacot and there was plenty of room. The kitchen/dining is quite small, so wasn't great for all of us to sit and watch the cricket. However, when we had visitors there was plenty of space by the bbq/pool to entertain our guests. If you are thinking of bringing grandparents maybe getting two separate units might be better if you want to sit around watching tv together.
Otherwise, a great spot and the managers were so lovely and had no problem at all with my 6 year old joining in and playing with their children.

It is good to read that you and the family enjoyed your stay. The BBQ areas are a great place to relax with friends and the pool is one the best ways to ensure that the kids sleep well at night :).

All the best in 2016 and hopefully we will see you soon.
