We dropped in to this beautiful town for afternoon coffee, and The Galley was recommended.
Its right by the harbour and sculptor park, and is a great example of mid steampunk.
The building is clad in metal that is rusting nicely.
Once inside there is evidence of more steampunk, toned down and classy.
Coffee was good and we shared a vanilla slice which was fresh and tasty.
Other patrons were enjoying either fish and chis or just chips, and seemed to be enjoying them.
Staff were friendly.
The sculptor park outside is worth a look, very interesting.

This small cafe is situated at the south end of the Historic Precinct right on the waterfront. It overlooks the small, sheltered harbour for the mostly pleasure craft on their swing moorings. An outside deck ( as well as windows along the waterside wall of the cafe) also offers nice views over the harbour. The
staff are friendly and chatty and informed us that the deck is going to be covered in to provide shelter from the wind (and the very friendly seagulls looking for a handout). This cafe is great for a coffee and a bite to eat after exploring the nearby historic area and once the liquor licence is granted, it will have even more appeal as a place to relax while enjoying a wine along with the view.

We found this stunning little cafe while wandering around the historic area. Beautiful location, great service, great food. Terrible classic rock radio playing but you win some, you lose some!! Would highly recommend!
