All of my family enjoyed having lunch over there. All meals were served very beautiful as well as Very tasteful. Big meals so you don’t stay hungry. We enjoyed the waiter as well. Everything clean and quite. A special building that gives you the unique atmosphere.

Was there just for a guinness, but we loved both the exterior of the building and interior of the pub! You can’t miss it when you walk down the main street of Oamaru!

Went here for dinner on the spur of the moment. The restaurant was busy but we were seated straight away, staff were attentive. There is a nice atmosphere, although it does feel a little cramped with not a lot of space to move. The food was amazing and I couldn’t fault it at all. There was a good selection available on the menu.

I believe it was one of the best seafood chowder in our South Island Trip! There was bountiful seafood in it! We enjoyed the seafood platter too n a great beer to go with our dinner. Finally it was the pear ginger pudding that knocked us off - couldn’t get enough of it!

Cosy and warm on a cold night, with plenty of charm. Service was friendly and very good, we were tended to quickly and meals came out quickly. The quality of the food was good, but on the small side for the price - I was a bit disappointed with my thin cut of steak, at $32 for 250g - note that Speights Alehouse Timaru does a 400g ribeye for $36.Definitely had to fill up with dessert, so ended up spending more than we would have elsewhere.
