We went down there as my wife had got as a birthday present. After a good long safety instruction, we started our tour. We took green and white tour. We were up in 28 meters and we soared more than 400 meters on the longest. If you follow the instructions given it is not dangerous at all. We spent 3 hours on these two and that was enough for me.

Great experience!

Service, food, wine, hospitality and the environment were in top.

The gourmet dinner and the Wiens from Journeys End, South Africa were enjoyable.

Furthermore, we established new friendship.

My wife and I spent a couple of relaxing days at this historic, esthetic and pleasant location in the West Zealand countryside. Although the place boasts 50, and apparently soon 60, fully equipped, comfortable double rooms, the place seems tranquil and quiet at the same time. We enjoyed the full package, tea/coffee and later drinks in the Garden Salon, relaxation in the wellness section, walks in the surrounding park and outdoors activity area (Acrobrance & football golf). We also had a superb dinner in the a la carte restaurant, Blixen, which was far beyond our expectations as was the delicious breakfast the following day. It really does make a difference to be in a historic setting with professional staff around you if you go to the countryside to relax. It also has great meeting facilities and is an ideal setting for board meetings, conferences or workshops so maybe we'll bring our professional colleagues one day.

The estate is spectacular. The rooms are large and quaint with four-poster bed. The bathrooms are also big and well equipped. The grounds are lovely and try tea on the terrace. The restaurant food and wine were good, the service could have been better. The after dinner coffee by the fireplace in one of the library/lounge rooms is very cosy. Breakfast in the basement was cool! Advice to management: You could try to improve communication/attitude with international guests. The spa area is pretty - see pic - but we could not get a massage. Overall good value/experience for price.

This place was freaking awesome. I mean for real. Awesome historic home. Secluded location with gorgeous grounds you can explore. Well appointed rooms. Super bathrooms with soaking tubs and double showers. They pay attention to the details here. Super friendly staff. Excellent dinner options. I think a lot of the crowd was made up of business retreats, I was here just for a night on our way to Horsens and I'm glad we didn't miss it. Anything bad you ask? Here is the thing, you are in the middle of nowhere. There really isn't anything in the nearest town of Slagelse. This is not the kind of place you just "drive by" it's a destination. So if that makes you nervous this isn't the place for you. If that sounds like a dream, book it. That does come with some spotty Wifi but if you are looking at this place it's time to not be worried about your connection to FB. The place farms its own beef, runs on wind power, their breakfast room dates to the 700's and the whole place brings the history of the region alive. Would go back anytime.
