We loved this property and glad we got to stay here due to a cancellation. The units border the Leeuwin national park and there is plenty of wild life around(kangaroos etc). A short drive to Margaret river town they offer the perfect escape. The night skies here are amazing, make sure you switch off the lights and head to redgate beach car park for some stargazing. The only add on would be an extra bathroom on the larger units- hope this can be added.

My partner and I stayed here while travelling around the Margaret River region and absolutely loved it. We would drive around to the wineries in the day collecting local wines, pick up some fresh fish from in town and then drive back to enjoy the evening overlooking the ocean. A great spot a little off the beaten track - but close enough to drive to all the areas main attractions.

We settled into our cabin at Redgate in the midst of a huge wind and rain storm. The place was cozy and comfortable, despite the wind whipping and the rain on the metal roof. The setup was perfect and we actually extended our stay. The two bedrooms were separated by the kitchen and living room and our kids had their own room just far enough away from us so we could sleep in a bit as we got used to the time change. We loved the housekeeper, and we actually asked her to babysit one night so we could enjoy dinner at Leuwin Vineyards right down the road. We loved our 6 nights in Margaret River!

We found this "escape" an excellent place to stay.
Amazing views over Redgate beach. Quiet, nice and secluded. Beautiful setting, feeling like you're amongst the dunes.
Good location (though out of town - a car is a must) 10 minutes from Margaret River town, beautiful beach just down the road, and close to lots of wineries, being in the middle of the Margaret River peninsula.
Room was clean.
Well-equipped kitchen, though the frying pan is pretty worn.
Note the room doesn't have a dishwasher (wish would have been really helpful as we stayed for quite a while) or a dryer (and we didn't quite have enough pegs to hang stuff out).
We had the disability/accessible shower, though this meant the whole bathroom got wet when you had a shower which wasn't ideal.
Also very poor mobile reception, so I think the room should have a telephone (fixed landline) given the relative isolation of the chalets.
Despite these small issues we really enjoyed our time here and would stay here again when in Margaret River.

My wife and I, and two friends recently celebrated our joint anniversaries with a weekend at Redgate Beach Escape. For us, at last achieving a long standing goal, having passed the place on many an occasion on our regular visits to Redgate beach itself over the past 35 years. We were able to choose the Bussell chalet, which is that with perhaps the best views over the bush to the Indian Ocean. The chalet was a pure delight - clean and extremely comfortable, and our queen size bed allowed me perhaps the best few nights sleep for a long time. The kitchen is perhaps the highlight of the chalet, fully equipped for all eventualities, and the glorious old wooden furniture add to the overall class of the place. The main room and one bedroom have reverse cycle air conditioning, and this is quite adequate for the other bedroom. The bathroom is on the small side, but the shower very roomy and lovely hot water. Overall then this is perhaps the best place we have stayed at in this region over many years, and one which we could confidently recommend. We will certainly return some day.

Room Tip: this is not a hotel
