I have to be honest and say that if we had not already prebooked and prepaid for this accommodation there is no way we would have stopped to enquire if they had a room available. The outside of the building from the road is most unappealing and dingy. However, we got a warm welcome from reception and once we got into our two bedroom apartment we were impressed by the balcony, with a table and two chairs, which had a sunny aspect and good views over the city.
The apartment was reasonably clean and quite spacious but it was a bit scruffy and in desperate need of redecoration and modernisation. The white painted brick walls gave it rather an institutional feel and it was certainly not luxurious. One bedroom had a double bed and the other had twin beds. There was ample storage space but as we were only staying for one night we did not really need it.
The cooking area in the lounge was very small but had everything you needed to make a basic meal. The bathroom was quite large with a good shower and was clean and there were plenty of towels.
Ok for an overnight stay but definitely the worst accommodation we had in Tasmania.More
