Booked this as a one nighter Dec 5th via Expedia after a late flight in from Perth. The motel is an easy hop from the airport just outside Glenelg off the Anzac highway. Room was pretty shabby and tired with a large black damp patch extending up one wall from the shower room next door, Decor is 1970's - place needs a refurb but at least was cheaper ($110) than the Comfort Inn Bel Ayre in Perth ($160). Location is good with an easy ten minute stroll to Glenelg centre and a big Coles supermarket nearby for supplies with a bottle shop nearby if you need a drink to blot out the room. The staff were fine & helpful. Brekky was off limits due to a function being held so good old Coles came to the rescue. Not a place we would hurry back to and there must be better places for $110 in Glenelg

Room Tip: Go for a room at the back of the motel set back from the highway ( though to be fair it was pretty quiet at night)

My partner travels to work every 6 weeks so we stay in a hotel night before,
the Comfort Inn is clean, staff bend over backwards for you we have a 20month old daughter and asking for a cot late notice is no worries not like one hotel near the airport that charges $15 each time you stay,
a staff member came in made it up for us made my daughter laugh i just thought that was very nice.......
we have stayed at alot of hotels most very high price, there is not many hotels to stay near Airport but the Aviator Hotel needs to impove on there customer service they are always rude on phone and in person..
there food needs to be so improved and they charge $15 for cot even when my partner's work pays for bus connection to airport but he doesnt use it he leaves to early.....
and dinner and breaky that we dont use cause food was frozen one night when served to our room ,
waited 4 hours for a cot came at 9pm it was broken then they charged us next time thought was pretty rude .......
there is another great hotel but cant think of the name they are lovely 2 ....
we even got upgraded to a better room i thought was very nice of the Comfort Inn,
i checked out late from sleeping in and they were like no worries have a great day .......
its the little things that makes you happy we stay where his work puts us for the night but wouldnt stay at the Aviator Hotel on our own backs, i think there reply to my comments were something i would expect from them not very sorry we will try to improve
, just stay some where else !!!!!! thats there come back ......

having our second child due soon its the little things that makes your stay a good one and the Comfort Inn made it a easy one

:)

Located outside of the city of Adelaide and about a 7-minute drive to the airport. This was an unexpectedly busy place – we checked in without reservations around 4:00 in the afternoon and they looked as though they were fully booked later that night.

Rooms looked to have been decorated in 1988 but were clean and adequate. Queen size bed was comfortable, and we also had an additional twin size bed in our room, which was nice to store our luggage on. Room had a TV, microwave, refrigerator – and was nice and warm in the wintertime (something we can’t say about other places we stayed at in Australia).

Even though the front of the hotel is facing a busy street, the surrounding neighborhood is completely residential and therefore really quiet at night. Nothing really in walking distance, but a quick 3-5 minute drive away there’s a nice waterside area and a connecting street with tons of restaurants and shops. We were really disappointed in the fact that we spent most of the day in Adelaide (which isn’t worth stopping in, by the way) when instead we easily could have spent an entire afternoon walking around this Glenelg area instead.

The only downside was that I thought I had settled the bill when we checked in as we had an early flight out the next morning and just wanted to be able to leave the key and go. The front desk doesn’t open until 7:00 AM and at ten minutes to I noticed a light on inside and thought I would drop the key off with them instead…luckily I did because my room had not been paid for, which would have been very embarrassing if we took our flight without stopping by first.

But otherwise, a clean comfortable place to stay close to the airport.
