These apartments offered my family a luxurious stay on our snow trip, with heated floors, open living room, and comfy-as-a-cloud beds. Warm fire, lake views, and luxurious furnishings. We look forward to visiting the Glebe again!
Family of seven. Five night stay. Ski/snow holiday.

Excellent location, short walking distance to Queenstown. Comfortable large studio room with appropriate amenities and adequate heating. Main issues were the price and structure of the room. Relatively expensive for a studio room which is only serviced every few days, Room structure was a bit awkward, with a small television situated to the side of the living area and far from the bed, so viewing was difficult regardless of position.

Thank you for your review.
Sorry to read you were disappointed with the price. There is studio apartments on Frankton Road more expensive than ours and if you didn't have a car you would need to pay $10.00 each way in a taxi. What is fantastic about The Glebe is the location only a few minutes walk to town so no need for a car. We are self catering and do not service daily there is a charge if required. The studio is the only apartment at The Glebe that does not have a washing machine and dryer, because of this we do change the towels every second day. If a washing machine is needed we always make one available for use.

I hope you will come back again, we always look after repeat guests.

Kind regards
Anne Henley

We were looking forward to staying here, based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. This was not our first trip to Queenstown and we were looking forward to being back. Queenstown itself is, of course, fantastic and the location was perfect especially if after a busy/cold day you want to get food to bring back to your hotel.

PROS
The location is fantastic, so close to everything and yet still quiet.

The three bedroom apartment was very spacious and had a great kitchen.

CONS
For the record, this is the first negative review I have left of accommodation online.

The queen sized beds in two bedrooms were merely two single beds pushed together and anchored by a topper duvet type of bedding. It was incredibly uncomfortable which led to two of our group sleeping on the sofas. I would not recommend staying here if you are wanting a decent sleep - we all left exhausted.

The bedding itself was cheap, with polyester mix sheets, a couple of which had holes in them. The towels in the bathrooms were also cheap and very thin. For the price we paid, we would expect better quality. Maybe you have to stay in a Penthouse to get decent bedding. Or maybe we just had the room that was in need dire need of updating.

As an observation, the staff didn't seem particularly friendly or happy - especially compared to other places in NZ we have stayed.

The Wifi was very slow.

In summary, great location in fabulous Queenstown, however we didn't enjoy the room we stayed in and would not stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review we value any feed back. I have been here everyday for the past few months and would have welcomed talking to you. We cannot figure out what apartment you stayed in or when. If ever you are unhappy talk to the manager or head receptionist and you will find most complexes especially ours would have done everything we could to fix your issues.
The beds are hotelier king split which is what most complexes have so we can offer king beds or singles beds the beds are zipped together. The topper pad is micro fibre and this heats up with your body heat and you stay warm all night. We get great reports on how comfortable our beds and bedding are so very surprised with your comments. The linen is hired in and standard for most complexes in Queenstown. I find it strange that you would find a hole in the sheet. The staff love working here and are always happy so this is also another comment I am very surprised with. If you read all the other reviews the staff are always mentioned as being happy and helpful. Pleased you enjoyed the location.

We have just returned from a stay in the lake view 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment.

- Apartment is in an excellent location, literally a 2 minute walk to the centre of town
- Nice and big, perfect for a family (we are a family of 5)
- Well appointed, gas stovetop, stone benches, everything you need in an apartment

We were very impressed and will return next year.

Room Tip: get a lake view

My family and I visited Queenstown 3 times. We have a pact that whenever we travel to New Zealand, which is a very distant of our country (Brazil), we will always spend some time in the city, which is one of the most beautifulin the whole world. In the first two times, we were lucky to stay in a big hotel on the edge of Lake Wakatipu, with a very good price. While planning our last trip (April/2016), we found out that we had to stay in another place, since the prices of this "big hotel" was sky-high. After seeing the rates of many hotels, we decided to stay at The Glebe Apartments. Then, we booked a 3 bedroom apartment in Glebe. We thought we would find a place like any other: a living room, a kitchen, bathrooms, tables, chairs... To our surprise, when we got to the apartment, we did not believe in our eyes The apartment, in fact, was a penthouse with 360 degree views for the lake, for the mountains, in short, for all horizons. The place is very luxurious, with a huge room, fireplace, bar, a very big dinner table, an ultramodern kitchen, all rooms with bathrooms, heating coming from the floor, a spetacular terrace. The decor, furniture, appliances, everything very beautiful. We spent three wonderful days in Queenstown, and there came a time when we did prefer to stay in the apartment than to get out and see other places. We made our own meals, which we enjoyed in style. We felt like we were in a movie. The Glebe is unique. The location is excellent. The price is superb.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a lake view.
