Description: This is a 6-7 minute drive out of Queenstown in a residential area, but well worth it. The food is absolutely first rate, different from the usual tourist menu, served by one of the owners in afriendly, laid back but efficient manner while the other owner cooks - brilliantly! Very informal, unusual, relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere . Great wines, great food and excellent value for money. No views, but if you're concentrating on the food, wine and conversation who cares? Highly recommended.

A sweet little restaurant run by a couple. You will see the owner himself running around to take orders and serving, while his wife cooks. Food tastes good. The deco of the shop is quite unique and cool.

To dine at the Vknow is a 'must' when staying in Queenstown. My wife and I had a super meal, all dishes freshly cooked to perfection by the owner Danny's wife.
Danny is the perfect host, very friendly and with great wine knowledge; he even remenber your names! We'll be back!

A superb find and should be a must for any visitors to Queenstown looking for a great local vibe and truly outstanding food. The staff are friendly and hard working, eager to make your experience top notch. Check out the wine list. It features a wide variety of New Zealand's finest wines.

This restaurant is really nice and casual with excellent food that is fresh, tasty, and satisfying. Definitely the best restaurant we have tried in the 10 days we've been in Queenstown. It's worth a cab ride to try the restaurant and the reviews are exactly spot on. Thanks TripAdvisor!

We stayed in Queenstown for only two days, but could not help returning for a second time after dining there on the first night. The place is far away from the crowd but close enough to downtown for a cosy evening meal. The wonderful food and atmosphere are simply superb, and Danny, the owner, makes you so at home and welcome that you feel more like a house guest than an everyday customer.

From the catch-of-the-day seafood of blue cod and scallop to meaty venison and lamb shank, Lizzie (Danny's wife) applied meticulous attention to the preparation and presentation of the dishes to bring out their freshness and best flavour to the absolute delight of gastronomers. The soups which preceded the main dishes - we tried the carrot soup and the spinach soup - were equally mouth-watering and in generous portion as well. The dinner was perfected by the fine New Zealand wine Danny recommended to us.

By far our best dining experience in New Zealand, and probably the best value for money for casual dining in our worldwide travels.
