The location is really handy, close to all the restaurants in Cuba Street and easy walking distance to the War Memorial and Museum, Te Papa and Lambton Quay.

The room was compact but modern, everything worked, windows that opened, good shower.

The staff were friendly and efficient. We opted for the express breakfast (juice, toast & spreads, pastries, tea and coffee) which was included in the room rate but you could upgrade to a continental or full breakfast.

We had one night on FlyBuys, one we paid for.

I would certainly stay here again if we are back in Wellington.

Hard to understand how 2 hotels in the same building covered by the same staff can be so different. Comfort hotel is not what I would call comfortable, room very small that felt like it had been divided with room next door as we could hear everything!
Bed needs replacing as do the pillows very disappointing. CQ was great and I would stay there again. I will not be staying in the Comfort hotel ever again.

Somewhat smaller than we had expected. The king bed is comfortable but not much space for anything else. No mini fridge and not much storage for clothes. The ensuite was functional with a shower. For the price though it's a good place well situated on Cuba street with tons of eating and drinking places. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If ur getting a car be aware that it cost $30 to use the hotel parking.

Central to most things in the CBD, we parked our car up for the weekend and walked everywhere. The room was nice but wasn't what I though I was getting when I booked online, wasn't like the picture at all. Price of the room and parking were good for the CBD all things considered. Still we had a great weekend and the CQ Restaurant was just delicious.

Stayed here for one night as right in centre of town. Was very cheap after booking in advance. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Apparently they are being taught sign language to help with hearing impaired customers. The hotel is cq hotel. Half is comfort hotel and other half is quality hotel. I don't know the difference on checking in, and unsure which one I was booked into to tell you the truth. The room was clean. Bathroom had great shower which made up for no bath. Fantastic location. Hotel has pool but didn't venture there. Great easy hotel for cheap accommodation. Only downfall would be that it was a bit noisy in morning. The room service was also expensive, but plenty of options in walking distance.
