We are not a museum family, very short attention spans but this was worth it, Maori,
Gallipoli & earthquake exhibits great!

We wandered around here to mainly look at the WW1 exhibition, but there are several other displays relating to NZ and Maori history including its place as an island that are well worth going round. It it free and there are many guides to assist you.

The WW1 exhibition was on in our time in wellington and it is awesome - a must see. We also checked out the more permanent sections which were interactive and really well set out. Free entry too which is a bonus

The Gallipoli exhibit was just wonderful, beautifully done and so much information. The incredible sculptures were also a real treat making it even more special. So glad we went.

Stopped here on a very quick shore excursion from our cruise. We wished we had more time! Fascinating displays over all the floors and worthy of a few hours at least.
