This market is in the car park on the waterfront, and is just a series of artisan stalls selling clothing, food and local items. It is much the same as any other market, and not really worth a special visit.

Situated along the waterfront of Wellington harbour the market features a variety of traders offering local crafts, artisan goods and food. Some of the stalls were interesting others less so. Right at the back of the market(closest to the city) we found a food vendor selling the most delicious Chinese Dumplings at bargain prices - we’re glad we stumbled into the market and had the chance to dine here.

A great place to visit: versatile, well organised and a pleasant buying “atmosphere”.
Worth going there on a Saturday morning.

The market has a good range of crafts and food for sale and as it's in an underground carpark can be enjoyed whatever the weather. We took a leisurely stroll along the Wellington Writers Walk, City to Harbour Bridge, Frank Kitts Park and the Civic Centre and experienced the market as part of that, which we really enjoyed. We spent about half an hour browsing the stalls and found the stallholders friendly and helpful. We come from Nelson where our Saturday Market is much bigger and better so I guess we are spoilt in that respect and this market was not as good as what we have at home, but definitely worth a look if you are down that part of town when it's on.
