Cool bar with very friendly staff. Rock music playing which is a welcome change from a lot of bars these days. The food was pretty good as well, very salty but i like that. Only complaint is that there is only one toilet upstairs which can get annoying when the bar is busy

We were here on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy, but had great food for really fair prices, and a good selection of beers for a pub. Bet it's the place to be on fri/sat nights! Would definitely come back

Looking for a meal we stumbled on this pub in the centre of town. It was busy but didn't look especially promising. The atmosphere was pretty basic and I won't be back for that - but the beef and Guinness pies we ordered came with proper veges and generous-sized homestyle pies. A very good option if you're after something filling and affordable rather than flashy and expensive. I was pleasantly surprised.

We went in before Mary Poppins, due to it being close to the showplace. I wasn't overly excited to be honest, the last time I went here, it was dark and dingy and the food was average. Not anymore! The place has been completely refurbished and is now light and modern. The menu is standard pub food, but has a good selection. Two of us ordered the Sirloin steak, which in my opinion is excellent value at $24. It couldn't have been more perfect, was cooked just as we requested, and was delicious. We chose to have it with chips and salad (you can choose your sides), the chips were crunchy and the salad was well dressed. I chose the jus as the sauce and this was good, my Mum had the Whiskey and Mushroom sauce which she said was great too. The open chicken sandwhich looked amazing too and came with a big portion of chips. Really impressed with the food and service and will definitely be back. Was nice to finish with a Baileys too!
