Our Manager of the Motel was very friendly and helpful and the room was absolutely cleaned to a high standard.
We had come from a filthy dirty Motel in Taupo and this Cedar Court was such a contrast, it was a pleasure to stay in.
Would recommend.

Stayed: March 2018, travelled with family

Nice staff. Quick checkin. Free laundry. Nice room with a kitchenette. Large bathroom.
Bed is a little bit to small for us European people. But very reasonable price.
Even with 2 fans we could not get it cool. Along a busy road

This was recommended by the Napier Info Centre and having stayed here now I think better options exist. It's on the busy road heading into Napier port/Ahuriri areas and the aircon wasn't any good, so with windows open at night we didn't sleep very well. Best to look at options further around in Ahuriri I think, where there's more options in walking distance for food etc.

Well priced, location not too bad and room okay.
Poor customer service and management with an odd attitude when it comes to being 'family' friendly.
Only a short stay for us, but certainly won't go back nor recommend to other travelers.

On the negative side:
The unit / room had a bad odour and the carpet was stained. The unit appeared unclean and appeared not have the floors and carpets vacuumed.
one of the dessert bowls had a large crack in it.
The ground outside the unit was littered with cigarette butts everywhere.
upon leaving, i looked under our bed to make sure none of our belongings were under it and was shocked to find the following items: a baby bottle. couple of pieces of paper, a cheap phone, one shoe, half a ruler, pen and a dirty pair of knickers. that's so disgusting. If you were staying for more than one night the room was suppose to get a quick service. This was not done and the beverages had not been topped up.

On the positive side:
Because of snow we were stuck in Taupo for two nights and were unable to make two nights at Cedar Court that we had booked. We were not charged for these and we phoned and notified them. Coffee sachets were given when we asked and so was free wifi. The Kitchen appeared clean and so were the oven. microwave, fridge and appliances.
