We stayed here for one night during our NZ trip from Australia
On arrival staff were friendly and helpful.
On arrival at our room there was plenty of off street parking.
The room itself was of a very good size - nice and roomy. We had a standard one bedroom apartment. It appears from reading other reviews we were given one of the older un-renovated rooms-shame when the motel didn’t appear to be very busy. The décor in our room was very dated. There was a couch in the lounge room which was very hard and uncomfortable to sit on. We found that the soft cushions were supported underneath by a large hard wood board, negating any springs. Obviously in need of replacement.
There was no coffee table or similar for drinks near the couch, despite there being plenty of room for one. The room being quite large, you sat some distance from the TV, which unfortunately made it appear small.
The bed was very soft, with only 1 pillow per person. There were no others available in the room. There was no tv in the bedroom.
The carpet throughout was very thin and hard to walk on.
The only glasses supplied were plastic wines glasses and small very small glass tumblers, about 120ml.
There was no kitchen hob for cooking even though others in reviews mention this.
The internet was available, however signal strength was poor and slow on the laptop. Our iphone was unable to connect at all unless on a window sill.
The shower had a large problem in that the mixer tap was installed incorrectly. Everything was reversed. Push in to get water, hot where cold was and vice versa. Could present a dangerous problem if not aware.
The room is quite noisy with early morning traffic, of which there was quite a bit.
There was also a lot of noise from people upstairs. Especially children running up and down hitting the balcony railing.
There were no tissues, no cookies with a cup of tea or coffee. No ice block tray in freezer. On arrival the fridge was unplugged and warm.
A bbq on site would definitely be an advantage.

One great upside is the best fish and chip shop around is only 5 min away. Oxford Takeaways, just across the river in Oxford St. It has huge serves, great taste and service, and is cheap as well. The best value fish and chip shop in town.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the renovated rooms - ours was outdated

My father booked this hotel for we 6 as a cheap option for one night in Hamilton.

I was dubious as his choices are not always the best, but was pleasantly surprises with the quality of the establishment. It's an older style motel with traditional sights and smells, the rooms are clean and well kept the family rooms have a good layout and were very kid friendly.

The parking situation is the only letdown with a pretty confusing layout, I would definitely stay again.

Stayed here with 2 friends in a 2 bdrm motel unit. We each had our own rooms (one in the lounge) It was fairly clean, but a bit in need of renovation. The towels were white, but grey/white. It was very basic but comfortable for $186 for a night for 3 of us. Good out of sight parking. Convenient to the supermarket and not far to walk for a meal at a restaurant.
A little dated but it suited us.

Stayed for 1 night. Staff were very pleasant, room was nice and clean, bed was very comfortable, there was a decent shower and was it quiet at night. Can't ask for much more in a budget motel.
There is a kitchenette in the room with a hob, oven and fridge so easy to self cater.

The front desk personnel was quite pleasant. The room was very decent and clean. It was easy enough to find (well, we had help from the GPS too). Although sounds from the adjacent rooms were easily heard from our room .
