This restaurant was recommended and indicated it has typically a Japanese clientele, so thought it would be good for sure. And oh yes, it was packed when we arrived and we had no reservations, but they accommodated us at the counter, which was great as we could see 4 of their employees preparing the food like busy working bees.
This is not a sushi place as you would think Japanese, they do have sushi, but the menu is so much more. They have large menus with pictures to better decide. The food comes out as it's ready, so plates start arriving at different times. It is all so fresh and beautifully prepared. They had a pre-summer special including duck which was fabulous; duck sushi Kamo Roll?!, oh yes in a sweet chili sauce, delicious! We ordered gyoza, prawn gyoza, dragon roll, a hot pot which had amazing broth (beef and tofu), Kamo Yaki (grilled duck with vinegared soy sauce and chives), lightly grilled beef sashimi with garlic soy sauce.
Totally recommended, a must if you like Japanese and Asian food.
