This hotel is perfectly located in terms of the University of Auckland City campus and the city centre. The room was quiet, clean and very comfortable. The service in the hotel and the restaurant was excellent.

I've stayed many times here when working in the central city. Its not the flashest, its a bit run down in places, the air conditioning is a bit noisy (so turn it off!) but the staff are excellent, the rooms are clean and tidy, its in a great location, its reasonably priced for Auckland Central, and the buffet breakfast is great. A great budget to mid range option for downtown Auckland. It has atmosphere!

Room tip: The rooms on the south / east edge face the harbour and Parnell and have a great view.

Room was clean and comfortable with a TV and complementary tea and coffee facilities. We had some problems with connecting to WiFi initially however which were resolved at the front desk. No extractor fan in the bathroom. A pretty reasonable hotel for the price.

Stayed here recently
What a disappointment
Rooms are past tired- they are so ordinary- it’s a2 star at best hotel and for the price- they really are kidding themselves
Heater in the room was poor and so noisy you couldn’t keep it on anyway as it will give you a headache as the old compressor grinds away barely giving you enough heat.
Breakfast was absolutely disgusting...
Can not recommend this hotel
Staff were friendly and tried their best but how depressing for them working is such a garbage hotel

Tried to use a gift voucher that friends paid full price. If there is an event (e.g. All Blacks game) they wouldn't redeem it. So went on a random night just to use it before it expired. Parking is 1st in 1st serve. Rooms were very tired and old. Extremely noisy. Heard every door close on our floor. But the breakfast was disgusting. However the staff were lovely & polite. Don't bother staying. There are plenty other options to choose from.
