The wife and I had dinner here recently. We had the special 3 course meal for two for $90. For entree I had the mussels which were tasty and the wife had the crispy calamari which tasted nice but only 4 pieces of calamari. For mains I had the eye fillet which was cooked perfectly and the wife had fish with seasonal vegetables. For deserts we had the Galliano ice cream and cheese cake. Overall an enjoyable meal with good service.

This was a night out using the Groupon dinner and dessert coupon. Saturday night. The restaurant was very quiet. We were seated promptly. I ordered salmon with roast vegetables. What I got was a very watery and bland meal. The salmon and the courgettes were watery and tasteless. The vegetables were not roasted. A soggy mess all-round really. The dessert was ok. My husband ordered lamb shanks which he said were bland, the potato mash was ok, the accompanying sauce he said was very sweet and an odd choice for lamb. His dessert was cheese cake. This he said tasted like it came from a cheap budget packet. We ordered 2 beers. The beer selection was really good with a lot of choice and good craft beer selection. Overall a nice environment with a substandard meal.

It was a wet and cold day Sunday for our visit but when we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted with a warm smile and hello from Nick the Manager and a lovely warm room complete with an open fire. We went for the set 2 course menu which had plenty to choice from. Four different mains were ordered - salmon, chicken, lamb rump, lamb shank and mushroom risotto and every one totally enjoyed their meals. Very nicely presented and the sauces were great, would love to have the recipe for Buffalo’s special honey mustard barbecue sauce, this went so well with the lamb shank. All meals were of good size leaving just enough room for our dessert. Three excellent desserts to choice from. I had the pavlova with the fruit and sauce yummy yummy lol.

On the drink side I found the craziest non alcoholic drink I have ever seen on a menu - pavlova fizz - if you like pav you will love this one.

Coming from Sydney it was great to find a restaurant with such fantastic food at a reasonable price. Thanks Nick and your team for a wonderful birthday lunch for my husband.

First things first, before you decide to here check online for Groupon and Grab one and save yourself some $$$$$'s!

We bought a groupon: $99 for a 4 course dinner for 2.
We had : Garlic bread each
Rabbit leg and kangaroo
Venison and ostrich fillet
Cheesecake and pavlova

The portions were slightly small so we ordered fries with our mains - we were a little surprised we'd need to. But overall the food was lovely, we couldn't fault it. However we always order our steaks medium rare, well unless you want a 60mph bird running across your plate we recommend ordering it medium as we had to send ours back!

Drinks were average pricing, $9 for a cheap glass of wine!
Service was ok...

We would definitely go back, it was great to try some new meats and a lovely way to spend an Anniversary.
