Saw this restaurant mentioned on another site and we just turned up without a booking. We were first to arrive which might've helped us getting a fantastic window table with views of the terrace, open space and the river.
The front of house staff were friendly with the perfect balance of small talk and humour without being intrusive.
We had satay chicken for entree. It was tasty albeit a bit dry but it was chicken breast instead of the normal chunks of other cuts. The satay was tasty and authentic.
For main we had shaking beef and duck and lychees in red curry.
Both were amazing. The meat and flavours were spot on. The curry was creamy and the accompanying rice fluffy.
A desert of sticky banana and rice mashed together had surprising flavours.
The meal cost around $90 for two with a couple of Vietnamese brewed beers. Excellent value for the night.
Finally the restaurant filled up quickly and the service never wavered.
