Visited 6/07/17 with 3 friends. The food was good. Decent size portions. I had the vegetarian chilli spaghetti $18.50 and one of my friends the same, but with chicken for an extra $8. The waiting time was really good for our food. It was a cold rainy day. They had the heating on, however there was a cold draught because they had the doors open. We did say it was cold and they closed the door but the other door was wide open, creating a chill. I would visit here again and try something different from their menu.

We made a late decision to have a Saturday night dinner at the California Kitchen and came away very impressed. The location next to the water at Hillarys has always been one of the best and California Kitchen has matched it with a good, not over-expensive menu. The service was the real winner here though. Very pleasant and attentive waitresses, with our food and drinks served in good order.

We visited this restaurant over the weekend. As we did not have a booking, we waited for 10 minutes to be seated. The service was horrible and we did not have any waitress taking our order for almost half an hour. Very poor customer service! Highly disappointed!

First went here early this year. Service was beyond shocking and food average. Made a complaint to management. It's taken me 5 months to go back, but thought I'd give it another go. Service better this time, however prawn pizza was not edible. It was dry and so salty and spicy that we could not eat more than a couple of bites. Left it on the table and walked out. Complained on way out and this time won't be back. I have never had restaurant food this bad before, anywhere. Sorry.

We braved the rain and cold weather yesterday evening and came down to Hillarys to try out this place. Was easy to get booking as it wasn't busy. Got our table and waited for service as it is table service at this place. No one came so walked up to the bar and ordered drinks. Ordered kids meals first which came pretty quick except they forgot the chips. We wanted another drink and despite so many staff walking around no one came to check with us. So went to bar and ordered again. I wouldn't mind if the place was packed and busy but it wasn't and there was no shortage of staff.
We ordered jerk chicken pizza, which didn't taste anywhere near jerk chicken. The rest was ok nothing special. For desert we had s'mores jar. It was pretty average and just looked like it was stuffed with chocolate pudding and other bits and pieces.
On the plus side it's a good place to take kids as they have a kids area and kids get pizza dough. So they got entertained for quite sometime.
Overall not bad but the quality of food and service is not what you pay for as it's not cheap
