Our first visit to this well known and longstanding restaurant and we were very impressed with the venue, the service and the food.
Tiny shop front, beautiful old building and tables not too close to each other.
No menu offered but a la carte available apparently. We opted for the 4 course degustation and were very impressed.
Highlights were the char grilled baby octopus, the rabbit ragu with tagliarini and the suckling pig. Meal sizes were just right.
Will definitely go again

Thank Lesley J

Our first time at Da Noi and it did not disappoint. The “chefs ‘table” brought 5 courses, all interesting and delicious. Each was explained to us in detail. Not sure we could elect a favourite – it was all good - but perhaps the pasta with goat ragu or the rabbit topped the list. The Sardinian red wine was a perfect match with the food. Excellent service. Lovely atmosphere. We will be back.

We had Sunday lunch at Da Noi, on the weekend Melbourne weather decided to switch from summer to winter. It was a fixed lunch - oysters, kingfish and grilled calamari; pasta with a rabbit ragu; slow roasted goat with vegetables; dessert of a kind of deconstructed tira misu that was much better than it sounds, perhaps the best dish of the meal; coffee and Italian biscuits. Prosecco to start with followed by Italian red wine. A truly lovely Sunday lunch, just like mama used to make if your mama was Sicilian. Recommended for a long Sunday lunch with friends.

Great staff, but one of the worst value set menus we have experienced. It begin with one ( yes one!) oyster swamped with mint so you could have been eating any thing. The fish and pasta were great. Pork belly overcooked and the desert was basically chocolate ice-cream disguised as a de-constructed tiramisu. A nice red chosen by the waitress but $100! ( not revealed until the bill)
not much resembled authentic Sardinian food.
Our first foray south of the river
Back to the northern suburbs for us

We arrived early & there were only a few tables there. After 7.00pm it was full of guests. Unfortunately being small with wood floors & there is a particularly noisy
few it is quite loud & difficult to hear. The service was excellent & so was the food
There is no menu, so you are asked if there are any food allergies or dislikes. It was a degustation mealThere were four of us all with different requests
They did get it all right without writing it down They gave us a fantastic lamb shoulder that came from their own farm
& the Duck Ravioli was amazing
