We came here on a sunny day which is a perfect weather to take hours of stroll in the botanical garden. There are many different species of flowers, shrubs, heater plants, cacti, fern trees, herbs, succulent, etc. Besides, there are also many different types of birds that can be seen in the park, such as magpie, black swan, etc. We have even seen eels swimming in the pond! It is one of the best place to enjoy greens and plants in Melbourne city with various species of flora and fauna. Highly recommended for plants and nature lovers!

I was blessed with a rather sunny day, and the gardens had many blooming plants mid August. Especially loved the chinese collection and the lake. Food at the tea house was ok (12AUD for 2 scones and a coffee).

We enjoyed our sojourn in the botanic gardens apart from the service at the little coffee house near the Information Centre. However that aside this is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. A bit of a hike to get there by tram from the city, but nonetheless well worth the time.
