We stayed in a double room with ensuite bathroom. Very convenient location - a stone's throw away from Southern Cross Station and 2 tram stops away from Flinder's Street Station. The environment was very casual, vibrant and easy going. You can choose the degree of interaction you wish to have - you could be in the midst of people and yet have your own private space. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. Service was excellent (when the heater in our room was being fixed, they immediately arranged an alternative room for us). We did not use the kitchen much, but it looked huge, clean and well-stocked. We found the traveller's tips posted on the walls in the lobby quite useful. We are glad we chose to stay here over any other hotel, not just because it is value for money but because it felt home-like in a foreign country. When you return tired after a full day of sightseeing, it feels warm and welcoming.

I have a back condition which my back and leg gave way, needed to go to hospital and the staff were AMAZING!!! Sat with me until the ambiance got there. There was nothin they didn't offer to help with. They accepted my guide dog no questions asked!!
Only thing in private room though would maybe be a small TV. The room was an adequate size for what I needed
Thank you for all your assistance

As soon as I entered the hostel I knew I had made the right choice. Not only does it look nice and cool, but it is clean and staff is welcoming. It is right on the street where the free tram passes, so it is easy to catch it.
Rooms are clean and bathrooms are spacious, modern and practical. Common areas are a bit small, that is why I gave this hostel 4 and not 5 "stars". The kitchen is comfortable and well organised. There are lockers to keep things before and after chek in and check out as well as restrooms.
Staff is always willing to help book tours and for anything you may need.
The hostel is a few blocks away from Southern Cross Station as well as from Flinders St. Railway Station, where you can go anywhere. It is easy to get to Brighton Beach by train and to St Kilda Beach by tram from the hostel.

located in a convenient spot, so host a lot of guests everyday which make the public area seems a bit cloudy and too noise.

the biggest problems is that few stuff r not nice to Asian people, one even insisted me to show ID on request of my friends mail, how could i carry with his ID with me

Hi Adam - thank you for your feedback on your stay. We can assure you that the only reason our staff asked for ID is that we are required to comply with Australian privacy requirements. Mail can include important identity items like bank account details, so the staff are obliged to make sure it is given to the correct person or someone nominated by them. That is for you and your friend's safety. If you ever have concerns like this again, please just ask to speak to the manager.
Enjoy the rest of your visit.
