“Lovely memories”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2012

Very clean, quiet rooms. We had a room overlooking the carpark next door, but beyond that was the glorious views of the Derwent River. The room was very quiet. The hotel is central to the cbd, and to the wharf area where a lot of the cruises go from. Salamader market is a 10 minute walk. Botannical gardens is a half hour walk from the hotel. We had the continental breakfast each morning, healthy and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again, and would love to go back to this jewell of the south, that is Hobart. Tourist information is 5 min walk.

Room Tip: my room on 10th floor was fine, but others might not like the carpark view.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment in the hotel. It had a high level of finish, quality and comfort. It is good value at the upper end - much better than the 'Art' hotels and other 5 star hotels in Hobart. Very handly location and a five minute stroll to the ferry to take us to MoNA.The bed was a real King ( not two singles stuck together) and the amenities were generous. Once we were able to pull the scrim curtains away, we had a beaut view of Mt Wellington from one picture window in the living room - and an intimate view of the high rise car park next to us from the bedroom!

Best of all: the staff. The cleanliness and attention to detail in cleaning the room was exemplary. The Reception staff were all very friendly, professional and helpful. The General Manager was in touch and committed enough to be on duty on the public holiday. Got the sense that it is a small, genuinely boutique hotel.

Room Tip: Strive for something on the 8th or 9th floor. We were on the 7th - whcih clipped our views somewhat.

Not somewhere I would stay if on holiday.
Had two club rooms both with great views of a multistory car park.
Bacon and eggs was 20 dollars, small serving and over priced considering I can get a big breakfast in any Australian capital city for less it was disappointing.

Comfortable, clean and modern. Everything you need without the grandeur (or price) of a massive hotel. Amazing homemade bread. Free movie channels are a bonus. A little weird that there is no extractor fan in the bathroom.

We stayed here the past two nights on our way back north. It is close to the shopping precincts as well as the water eating areas od Salamanca and Constitution dock. The rooms are clean and modern. The rooms are very small though compared to others we have stayed in Tasmania. The parking accross the road was rather annoying and can be expensive if you come and go too often.

Room Tip: Higher floors will assist with a view beyond the hospital accross the road
