I am a bit torn here as they were kind enough to upgrade us to a room with a second connecting room so allowing more space for the 3 adults travelling which was great but the rooms certainly are very tired as are the bathrooms, a/c leaked and needed to be reported 4 times before it was dealt with and I doubt we would have got the upgrade if we had not been travelling in the off-season but having said that, the views were amazing and the rest of the facilities (beach, pools) were excellent.
Hamilton Island, as most know, is crazy expensive so we expected high prices but did not eat or drink at the Reef View due to that. We favoured the Marina more and either took take outs and supplies from the bottle shop back to the room or ate at the marina.
Did a phenomenal seaplane trip to the Reef and Whitehaven and a very nice sunset catamaran cruise. Went to one tree hill for a cocktail sunset which was not so good as the clouds came in to ruin the sunset (no ones fault :)) and again the drinks are just too expensive.
A beautiful part of the world and I am thrilled to have seen it but prices will probably keep me from returning. I hate to think what high season would cost.More
