We‘ve visited here twice during our trip around the greater Brisbane area. First thing I noticed was the friendly staff. Always a smile and trying to accommodate your every need, even if the house is full.

If it‘s a hot day I recommend the cold drip coffee for a cool start. The Eggs Benny with smoked salmon were so good i had to have them a second time. If you fancy, I would recommend a Hash Brown to go with it. Yum!

If you visit with kids ask for the kids menu. And after eating, they can pass the time in the playpen so mum and dad can chat

Pro:
Extremely good coffee
Delicious meals
The tap water is filtered (no chlorine taste!)
Friendly staff

Partner emphasised he cannot tolerate gluten. Was treated as if he was being difficult and told 'yes' dismissively when he tried to clarify that his dish (specifically the bread component) was gluten-free. Ate the bread which tasted distinctly like wheat and is now in agony. We can only presume that an arrogant chef had the attitude 'they'll eat what I give them'/they lied about the bread being gluten-free because they wanted to make a sale or just didn't care. Good coffee alone won't keep you in business these days..

We had breakfast here on a sunday and unfortunately for the team 2 people had called in sick. The food was good but the chairs outside were SO uncomfortable and the long table for a group had a weird bar that hit your knee every time you tried to sit closer to the table. I had the avo smash with a hashbrown. It was good and I liked that there was a slice of lemon for added flavour. I also loved water and soda water on tap!! That was great. The restaurant is nice and the staff are friendly we just got unlucky and had a bad service day.

Top spot in Surfers for coffee and brunch, probably our favourite
Coffee is fantastic and the food is excellent! Can’t fault this place at all, there is even a kids play area for little ones who can’t sit still for long!

Great coffee ! Gotta say that !
Sadly the food menu is mostly meat-dairy-eggs. If you are trying to avoid dairy-eggs there sadly is no option. You can build your own from sides, but that’s rubbish. With more and people moving to veggie and vegan I really hope main stream places add a dish or two so they cover all bases
