Le Cher is in the heart of the town, close to all amenities. Clean, with heated pool, plenty of sun or shade as you wish.
Friendly helpful management, nothing too much trouble. We have visited friends staying at other establishments, not a patch on Le Cher. We have been coming here for 12 years and don't intend to change. Good car parking facilities also. Children not encouraged is a plus for us.

Room tip: Downstairs provides easier access, upstairs has better breezes. All rooms have a good outlook.

Very small apartments, more the size of a hotel room. Bring all your own stuff here if u r staying more than 1 night!! I.e. towels, shampoo, conditioner etc! You get 1 set of linen & towels per 7 night stay and are not allowed to wash the apartments towels in the communal laundry!!! Extra towels are $3 each! The laundry ain't free either! $5 a wash & powder is $1 from reception.
Very basic kitchen, bit hard to cook for yourself. No dishwasher and signs everywhere saying you have to clean up the kitchen, floors & bins before checking out.
On the upside it's centrally located.

Fantastic location on the main street (Macrossan) of Port Douglas. Very easy to walk to everything including shops, restaurants and markets. The resident managers were extremely helpful. Rooms are spacious with a separate bedroom, living and kitchen areas. The kitchen is well equipped for a short stay. The bathroom is modern and well maintained.

Only problem encountered was the lack of a lift, with those staying on te top floor having to negotiate a number of stairs with heavy suitcases.

Would stay there again without doubt.

Room tip: See if you can get one of the lower floors if travelling with large suitcases.

It is located in the middle section of Macrossan Street (the main street). so it is very convenient to go to the beach, the park or the marina; and all the shops, restaurants and supermarket are just down the road.
The apartment is spacious and clean, the king-size bed is comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom provide the minimum basics. Guests have to pay for any extras, such as to hire a beach towel (cost $5,00), extra toilet rolls cost $1.50. The bed only has a sheet on, no cotton blanket provided (there are woollen blankets in the wardrobe, too heavy for the weather).
The manager was very helpful in booking tours for us and for every tour that was over $100 she gave us a bottle of wine.
It also provides underground parking.

Room tip: Rooms by the pool

We stayed at Le Chur De Monde for a week in May... Fantastic central location - walking length to every where you need to go in Port Douglas...
The owners were very lovely and happy to help in any way possible and had an ample of brochures to show you things to do..
The bath spa in the bathroom was quite small (my partner could not fit in it) so we didn't use it but other then that the room was very spacious & comfortable with all of the essentials.

Thankyou for a great stay :) Would happily reccomend and return
