Our sincere thanks to Simon and the management and staff at this great and unique resort of resorts. Smiles everyday from all the Sheraton team. 7 days into our 12 days and it just keeps getting better. Glad we have another 5 days to relax and have more good cheer during our 40th anniversary. We will have some very pleasant memories and we look forward to our next visit. Thanks, peace in your hearts and fortune in your steps. Francis and Lynne V. Port Hacking, Sydney

The Sheraton resort is a lovely place to stay, however we chose to stay in a pool access room ,my expectations were high,as it’s suppose to have this great reputation
This morning is our last day ,I have been woken up by this alarm on the bedside table that I for the life of me can’t find the off button it’s 6:30 am the air conditioner has stoped working for the second time in our 2 night stay,I cannot have a coffee as I wait for my husband to wake because the coffee from yesterday was not replenished hence I’ll have a cup of tea ,somehow over night the little kettle won’t work ,I have tried a few sockets around the room ,so with the beep of the alarm serenading me here goes
After coming from a different hotel,we arrive and check in ,told we to go to find our room we could park on the South side ,no help with luggage,(but ok 5 star)
No robes in the room so I rang housekeeping ,if I want them they will bring them ,the waffle kind ,they arrive with no belts and would fit a small child ( no use to me )
Any way besides all that it very picturesque the pools are beautiful it’s all been refurbished but still looks a bit dated my experience has not been great

My wife and I spent a week here in early February. It’s a sprawling resort with lagoon type pools on the ocean side. The pools have beaches with sand on their edges....for good reason. The resort is set on a 4 mile beach that is simply amazing to look at. Problem is that’s all you can do is look. It was stinger season and the beach was deserted. Apparently the jellyfish and saltwater crocs have become pretty nasty. The entire hour long bus ride from Cairns was spent listening to a prepared warning about all the things that can kill you in this part of the world. 17 of the 20 most dangerous snakes in the world, spiders, crocs, jelly fish etc....we felt safe at the resort, weather was great, food and service was excellent.
We upgraded to a lagoon entry room which we enjoyed. The balcony was tiny but it was too hot to sit there anyway. The location was mostly about seeing the Great Barrier Reef and the day we spent on the reef was one of the best vacation days yet.

This place was awesome, from the minute we pulled up you just knew this was going to be a great holiday. We were greeted by Jack who kindly gathered all our luggage and loaded it onto he’s cart while we checked in. Checking in was easy with Sharon who explain where everything was and what we had in our package. Our Lagoon edge room was awesome with a ladder on our balcony straight into the pool and a special mention to Innes who cleaned our room daily ( its people like you that make us come back ). The resort was beautiful and very well looked after, golf course across the road was great and it was only about 7 mins into town. We had a late flight home and Matt on the front counter was more than happy to give us a late check out that made our stay at the Sheraton one of the best holidays we have had and we will definitely be back.
PS: Pools & food outstanding and all the staff do an exceptional job to make your stay awesome.

We had a girls long weekend at the Sheraton recently. We particularly loved all of the swimming pools and the landscaping. The rooms were tastefully decorated, however it would have been nice to open the window for some fresh air (just personal taste). It was great being so close to the beach for morning walks and cocktails in the lounge bar were sensational too. We took advantage of the deal where you are provided with a $15 voucher per room for each day that you do not request house keeping - it paid for our lunch in the cafe which was nice (or a cocktail during happy hour at the pool swim up bar!).
