Full marks for this property. A girl family holiday, we had 2 apartments and both were excellent. Very clean, well maintained and comfortable. Beautiful surroundings and pool area. Great for the kids to play and the adults to relax. Located about half way between Macrossin Street and Four Mile Beach plenty. Management were always helpful and friendly.

I loved my last visit to Port Douglas so much that I took my family.
My parents are visiting from the UK and have always wanted to visit the reef so we took them and our kids to Port Douglas.
We searched online (using trip advisor of course) and decided to stay at the Mediterranian.
We managed to get a 3 bedroom apartment for 3 nights for only $500.
It sounded too good to be true.
Thankfully it was great!
The place is smaller than the previous accommodation we used in Port Douglas but the apartment itself was huge.
The mediterranian is an older building and some of the fixtures and fittings such as ceiling fans and taps were showing signs of age, but it was spotlessly clean and everything worked perfectly.
The water pressure in the shower was amazing! It nearly knocked you over.
Communication with the owners was fantastic and we made special arrangements for us to arrive at midnight due to us travelling from Brisbane at 8-00 pm.
Everything went without a hitch. Craig was available next morning and gave us great advice on places of interest.
The markets were great thanks Craig.
We have more family visiting later this year and will definitely book in at the mediterranian again.

Stairs very steep to the second story and when I asked do I have to carry everything up there, he said yes. No offer of help.
Very dated, musty smelling and need of a refurbish
Uncleaned dishes in cupboard.
Air cons vents dirty and stale air. Didn't bring in cool air.
Under beds hadn't been vacuumed for months.
Cushions, lounge needed a good wash and steam clean.
Reported issues and left a day earlier.
Not happy.

Room tip: Don't look at the outdated photos. What you see is not what you get.

Lovely pool and sun lounge area at the back with BBQ and the apartment had air con, albeit only in the longe. Wifi was purchased separately through reception which was a bit annoying in the 21st centry. The main strip is a 20 minute walk along the main Road but there is a path inset behind some trees. In all we enjoyed it for one night

I didn't want to have to write this review but I am going to be nothing but truthful. Our party of six did not enjoy our stay at the Mediterranean and ended up cutting our stay short and booking elsewhere. While the owners mean well, the place was well below our expectations and was not at all value for money. There were just too many negative things about this place which I will mention briefly:
- The kitchen had a huge spiderweb in the corner with two huge dragonflies stuck in it
- The shower had many small hairs left from previous occupants
- Kitchen amenities were poor, no plastic cups or salad bowls etc, yet there is a strict 'no glass' rule in the pool/entertaining area
- Pool is way too small to share with other guests, only about 4 sunloungers. There was also someone's used bandaid floating around in there at one point.
- Garbage bins in the pool area have a bad smell, make you not want to eat anywhere near them
- Indoor chairs and couches are wicker and extremely uncomfortable, we ended up bringing the outdoor furniture inside
- Couch in two bedroom unit was way too small for our family of four
- WIFI which is at an extra cost is garbage. Very slow and kept dropping out
- We don't watch much TV but one between 4 people is not enough. Expected a second in the main bedroom.
- Definitely not 400 metres from beach access like we were told. My GPS watch says it was more like 850 metres.
- And finally the worst thing about this place and the main reason we left: the beds feel like you're sleeping on a wooden plank. We all had sore backs, hips, and shoulders as well as poor sleeps (which soon changed at our new accommodation)
Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Even if they cleaned it up and replaced the mattresses, there is many other options in the area at similar prices more worth your business.

Room tip: Somewhere else is best
