Unpretentious, but awesome food. We booked in advance for 11 people, and they graciously accommodated us. Service was very friendly, and the food is very reasonably priced. If we were staying in cairns longer, we would absolutely go back!

Great place on the esplanade in Cairns. Nasi Goreng very authentic as was the chicken satay and beef Rendang curry. Very reasonable prices. We will be back.

Walking along the waterfront, looking for something different for lunch and saw Bagus Indonesian cafe. We stopped for lunch having nasi goreng (Indonesian fried rice) and rendang sapi (beef rendang). Both were a quite large, flavoursome and not expensive.

Some outside tables, however not a lot of space.

What more could you ask for on a sunny afternoon?

Had the ayam bakar with pecel - ayam bakar is grilled chicken in bahasa and I would have expected grill/ charcoal flavour but none to be had. Flavorsome and tender chicken though. The pecel is not bad, nutty, sweet. 18.50 for the dish which is ok for cairns prices.

If you want the best traditional Indonesian street food in Far North Queensland, do not miss this place.

Food was brilliant topped off with service second to none. Quick & plentiful.

Be quick though or you might be waiting for a table for a while ...
