Lovely friendly tour guide who knew his stuff and was able to give us lots of great snippets of interesting information throughout the day on a very comfortable aircon bus. Started with a coffee/breakfast stop at Mossman Gorge information centre and a smoking ceremony. The aboriginal guide was really interesting at the heritage centre and it would have been great to have spent more time with him, to learn more about the bush tucker and medicines. We were taken by a shuttle bus to the gorge and the walk along the pristine river was amazing or you could swim if you preferred. The Daintree River cruise was a great trip down the river with amazing photo opportunities of the local bird and wild life and a very knowledgeable local guide - managed to see a few crocs, including the biggest aipha male at 5 metres and kingfishers, also a green tree snake, as well as learning lots about the mangroves and river history. The rainforest was wonderfully colourful and a great chance to learn more about the history and plant life - the beach at Cape Tribulation where the lunch stop was held, was beautiful. Afternoon tea was a ice cream at Floraville, which meant you were never on the bus for too long - although there are a lot of miles covered. Perhaps the trip tries to do too much in one day and would be better doing more in one area but overall it was a great day and a real taster of what is there to encourage you to come back! I found it an easy trip suitable for all ages and fitness levels and no special equipment other than a camera/smartphone needed.
