Managed to get a room at a super cheap price last minute, so we didn’t expect much. Great welcome by the friendly staff and loved the offer of complimentary coffee and scones at reception in the morning. Room itself was a good size with everything you need. Very clean. Yes there is traffic noise being along Sheridan road but nothing excessive. Overall thought this place was great value.

I was there for work and only needed a bed for a few nights. The rooms were standard. Nothing special and could do with a renovation but in saying that they were kept clean and tidy which was wonderful to see. The lady at reception was wonderful, offered a drink on arrival and they have a very homely guest lounge to come and have a cuppa, scone, watch some television and read the paper in the morning. I’d definitely stay here again. Yes rooms need updating but i’d stay here again.

This hotel was booked for us as it had breakfast included, but that was such a disappointment. the only cereal they do is called just right and its awful, the scones were dry and often hard, that's it for food stuff. it says muffins and biscuits available we never once saw the muffins but the 3 days there were biscuits they were very nice. we ended up going to the local shop and buying a box of cereal and bread for toast, although we did use there butter and jams for the toast. there was a very good range of tea coffee and juice or milk available all day do tht was a bonus.

The rooms were basic and old fashioned but they were clean, the shower was ok towels changed whenever you wanted. The room has a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, microwave, kettle, and a few complimentary tea bags coffee ect.

there is a laundry area but it was $4 a wash ($1 to buy a very small sachet of powder we bought a big box from the supermarket for $4) and $4 for the dryer it took two goes to dry the clothes. We were on the ground floor which was very nosy as it is right next to the car parking.

I found the staff very friendly but did hear them discussing a room change with some one else and the member of staff was very condescending, i spoke to the cleaning staff a couple of times and they were so helpful.

On the whole this hotel/motel was just ok. It was 20 mins from the city centre by foot close to a bus route to beaches and close to a few shops, the esplanade is only a 10 minute walk away as well.

My wife and I stayed there while touring the far North Queensland. The service was great, the rooms were clean and fresh and the beds comfortable. It was a perfect base for seeing the region. I recommend it highly, we rebooked for the final leg of our trip

Our studio unit was very tidy, clean and comfortable with a great shower (something I really value!). It was an easy enough walk into the CBD and waterfront. Just down the road (about a hundred metres) are a plethora of takeaway shops and restaurants and convenience stores and liquor outlets.... AND a superb delicatessen called Victors which did great coffees and freshly made sandwiches and had an amazing selection of goodies. Oh and the motel provides fresh scones each day in a shared guest space. How nice is that?
