From the outside this restaurant looks like any other suburban Thai eatery. The warning is that even though we booked several days ahead, it was nearly fully booked for a Saturday evening.
The food is what can only be described as fantastic, and their chef specials are just that - SPECIAL!! There is of course the run of the mill Thai dishes on offer, but the specials take it to the next level with an Aussie undertone to the food. Two of out party had the 'Pigssy Brissy' which is essentially pork belly (with excellent crackling) done with a spicy rice accompaniment, giving it that distinctive Thai flavour.
Everything from the presentation of the food on the plate, the taste (see above), the staff - who even though seemingly rushed off their feet, were brilliant, giving time where needed to order the food, etc - and the menu choices.
If there is to be a downside, it would be the wine list. Pretty basic with not a huge range on offer, but they do offer a BYO service (Corkage applies at $3 each). Good range of beers, spirits and soft drinks though, so there should be something for every one available.
If the Gabba has an event in progress, then parking would probably be an issue as there is only on-street parking (in a residential area) available.
Cannot wait to return.
