Food was very average, disappointed that all the pork dishes have been taken off the menu including the lamb and potato sides that were offered. The entrees ordered tonight were dry and overpriced for the what was put in front of me. I travelled all the way from Mount Isa to have found my favourite cocktail was taken off the list also. Tiki bat was disappointing. Atmosphere was lacking and did not have the same vibe. Overall disappointing night, feel let down.

Stumbled upon Alfred & Constance after work on a Thursday. At 5pm the place was empty and had rap music pumping so loudly you could hardly hold a conversations. Was initially only looking for a drink, but saw that Thursday was steak night so decided to have dinner as well.
Beer and wine was horrifically over priced, so settled for a cocktail jug between 2. Sadly this didn't live up to the promise on the menu, would not order again.
Steaks came quickly and were cooked well. There was only a choice of 2 sauces - gravy and pepper, and the pepper sauce was so runny you could not really top the steak with it, although it had a good flavour. Generous portion of thick chips which were very good and a tiny side salad which was sadly swimming in oil. Service was average.
Patronage picked up closer to 6pm which was nice, but the atmosphere was ruined by the loud and obnoxious music filled with profanities.
This could be a really special spot, but its let down by by extortionate drinks prices and unpleasant music.
They do have a happy hour on Fridays - $5/6 beer and wine, so may be worth checking that out.

Laid back and relaxing bar in a beautiful Queenslander in the corner of the back streets. Drinks, food and services are just ok.

Built in what used to be a house, has a great feel and a nice outdoor area. Came here for a few drinks on a very busy Saturday night, will return for a weekday meal (they seem to have specials on weekdays). Staff inside were very busy and tried to be friendly, the bored doorman at the front, not so much.

We went here for dinner on a Thursday and were hoping for pleasant food in a location with a vibe. The food was *terrible*. It had clearly been left on a heater having been pre-cooked. The parmie's supposedly melted cheese had recongealed into solid (cold) form. The meat on another dish was stone cold.
Service from the Scots woman was nice, but the other female Australian waiter looked like she couldn't be bothered to be there. She messed up the bill, wandered off (without explaining) and faffed around without an apology for the delay. Never looked us in the face never mind smiled.
Drinks were average - we complained but the guy just shrugged it off. Overall, a clear sense that the staff had no buy-in or engagement with the place. They wanted to go home, and so did we. Do not go here.
