The bar and restaurant are beautiful and cosy. The service is good and quick. The food and the French wine were nice. My wife and I ordered a CHAR-GRILLED 7+ SCORE RANGER VALLEY WAGYU and a SPICED LAMB RUMP as our main dishes. The char grilled wagyu was ok, but the lamb rump was excellent. Currently the restaurant's entry is opposite Coles.

We first tried Libertine by chance on our way to watch a Wallabies game, we didn't have a booking and the restaurant was packed. we were made feel welcome from the time we walked through the door and our good fortune was that a table had just become available. It really was our good fortune because every aspect of the meal was perfect, so much that we have become regulars and always taking friends to enjoy the spectacular banquets on offer. The pricing is certainly very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you will receive and every dish is presented with obvious care from the kitchen and pride from the staff who bring it to you. Behind the scenes Libertine must be doing something right as you can feel the energy from everyone who works there and like us they appear to be having fun. Although the wine and drinks list is exhaustive we have on occasion asked for specific cocktails or left the bar staff to be creative and every time they get it right. Over the last 6 months we have visited 6 times including Fathers Day and taken plenty of friends who all agree that Libertine is one of Brisbane's dining gems. We can't get enough of the variety on offer at Libertine and have already booked for Christmas but who can wait that long before we need another dose of the fun and flavour that Libertine so readily delivers. One chance visit before a football game turned out to be an addiction to everything Libertine has to offer.

I have been here a few times, always as part of a group. I always find that the seating is uncomfortable and squashed together. I also find the drinks list very limited and when you find something it is quite expensive for Brisbane. The food is adequate as a quasi tapas for want of a better description.

Met with family for belated birthday celebration for Saturday lunch. The restaurant well appointed with atmospheric decor. Food upmarket street food French / Vietnamese style.
Service efficient & friendly with courses well paced. We enjoyed the Free Range Chicken stir fry, the Crab Sandwich on Brioche had very special flavor. The stand out dish was the Spiced Lamb Rump, enhanced by the egg plant and lifted to astounding taste heights with the Mint Oil. I tried the children's Popcorn Chicken & Pork Spring Roll both exceptional flavor. The addition of the Green Pawpaw Salad lightened & synergized all the dishes in the meal. Grand daughter had the Banana Beignets, a very large serving of great texture and flavor, shared also the Yuzu Cheese Cake, the Yuzu flavor came through very well however I found the texture a little dry. Now for the Cocktail to die for
Gin Tonic Pomegranate with Smoked Rosemary, very different could have drunk a jug full. The Children's Mocktail beautifully presented. The only draw back is the noise factor very hard to have a conversation, there is nothing in the decor to absorb sound, common in so many modern restaurants

It was Saturday and raining and we decided to go to Libertine for lunch
The restaurant is in the Barracks with plenty of parking and has a lovely atmosphere with high ceilings and a French feel and we were made welcome
We chose the 5 course special which included a glass of good wine or beer. Our food was French Vietnamese and was varied and delicious and we had an excellent waiter also.I am looking forward to going back.
